    Thanks for the update. It works wonderfully. The best ever.
  • Works fine

    I have three Yamaha MIDI Bluetooth adapters, two MIDI and one USB. I needed to update the firmware on all of them, and this got the job done. I also needed to rename the devices to match their location, and this took care of that also. Very happy with the app and especially the adapters.
  • Bluetooth Constantly Loses Connection To App

    The latest update causes the Bluetooth connection to constantly drop when using the Yahama Digital Piano Controller app. I have the Yamaha Arius YDP-163. Please fix this ASAP as it’s very annoying.

    I never had any kind of issues before but now, after I did the update two days ago I surely do. Thanks, Yamaha!

    Does not seem to work like other Bluetooth devices
  • Constant Bluetooth issues

    Why is it that every Bluetooth device works but yours after each iOS update? iPad iOS 13.1 works but 13.3.1 broke MD and UD yet all my Bluetooth headsets work fine. Yes, i have the latest firmware. Please update your firmware and I’ll change my rating.
  • Latest firmware bricked me

    This simple utility worked fine until the latest firmware update. Now I’m bricked. I have a call in with Yamaha and we will see if they make it right. I’ll post again with an update.
  • DO NOT USE THIS VERSION - It will “brick” your device (at least the MD devices)

    This release will brick your MD adapter.
    It installs the wrong update and renders it useless.

    I can find no way to go back to 1.04 and no firmware appears on the Yamaha site.

    Major FAIL Yamaha!!!!!

    Update:
    While a fix was advertised in version 1.06, support told me that my now bricked device was no longer updatable. I am still waiting for a promised replacement device.

    Support has been friendly, but slow and scarce.

  • Worst customer service ever!

    Previous version of this app bricked my device as well. I see several others in the same boat - I hounded customer service until I got a response that was basically “we are aware of the issue - too bad for you. Call us later to see if we fix it”. I hope Yamaha and customer service rep Robert both get what they deserve. Unreal...

  • Bricked My MD BT01

    I called Yamaha customer support today, Jan 28th, and they said they didn’t know about this yet, and would report the issue. Now I’m reading these other reviews from November ‘18, in which the developer says to contact Yamaha about it. Well I’ve already done that and no solution or compensation was given. So devs, when you say “contact Yamaha customer support,” what exactly are you suggesting that this will do for us?
