Doesn’t work
The iPhone app is useless. You can’t change the device address so you can only connect one iPhone to the board.
The font is incredibly small
Utterly useless from an iPhone. The font is like .5.,
Microscopic.
PLEASE MAKE IT LEGIBLE!!!

Helpful sometimes
This app is helpful, when it works. More often than tolerable, my band members can’t connect. Even with the HiQnet addresses set, sometimes the app just won’t connect to the board. This has been an ongoing problem - it’s not version-specific. I love my Si Expression boards, and would love to give bands personal control of IEM mixes, but it just frustrates everyone when it doesn’t work. The small faders are a sacrifice most would be willing to make for a working product.

Hard to use. No support.
This app is all but useless. The controls are impossibly tiny. Also, this app does not work for the iPhone X. Both my wife and I upgraded our phones, walked into to band rehearsal and could no longer connect. Very disappointed in Soundcraft. I expect more from a “Big” name.
I contacted support and their response was “Well, this app was never really designed for phones anyway.”

iPad app should be on iPhones be too
I don’t always have my iPad in my hands, but my phone is in my pocket. I need cue control, EQ and compressor in my pocket. One channels’s controls would readily work on the phone. If you documented any protocol for talking to your devices, you’d be serving your customers better by allowing g them to have software that works as they do in their productions!

Excellent for monitor mix.
Perfect tool to allow musicians to tune their own stage mix or in ear monitors.
To have full control of the board the IPad app works well.

Useless
No features at all just volume control
No board control
This app only allows control of mixes. It would be more useful to control the whole board like the Remote app does. Carrying an iPad everywhere isn't always practical and having the functionality of Remote on the iPhone would be useful. Even if only 2-3 channels (portrait) or 4-5 channels (landscape) are visible at a time.

Finally an app for this...but...
I am so thankful that Soundcraft FINALLY put out an app for monitor mixing. I must admit, i was ready to sell my Expression3 and purchase a board that supported this type of control for personal monitor mixes. After using the app for a couple of weeks, here are my observations. I hope the Soundcraft developers read this and clean up this app a little bit.
-communication issues. Ive had my mix go blank a few times during a set. The only way to fix is to fully close the program and re-open it. Frustrating while playing live.
-faders are too small on a smart phone. While the app works well on a tablet, if you are using it on a smartphone the faders are very hard to grab. There are no fine movements under my large fingers so mixing becomes a chore. My suggestion to Soundcraft....have only one fader selected at one time (the fader that is in the middle of the screen) and make it so you have to scroll through the faders. The fader that is selected (or centred in the screen) could then be enlarged (so you know which fader is selected, and to make it easier to adjust). Just a thought.
-ive noticed that some of the competitors have a "me" mix and a "band" mix fader. On the fly, your can very quickly adjust either yourself (whatever channels you add to that group) or just the band (whatever channels you add to that group)
All in all, I am very glad that Soundcraft has decided to go this route. I really hope that they work out the kinks and make this app into a 5 star app!!
