  • Terrible Algorithms & Why Even Bother Transferring Playlists Over

Transferred Spotify playlists over and not only does it almost never play those songs, it adds their own to it. The algorithms are WAY off and don’t come even close to matching the vibe I’m going for with each playlist. Usually the only things the songs have in common are they are from the same decade. That’s it.

If you’re dissatisfied with the added songs when creating a station, we’d recommend creating a playlist instead. That way, you can import your Spotify playlists just as they are. Feel free to contact us at support@soundtrackyourbrand.com and we’ll help you create the right music for your business.
  • Phenomenal Customer Service

A few days ago I received an email asking for feedback and I had responded with my thoughts. Just this morning an actual person from the company emailed me addressing my concerns and thoughts. I was absolutely shocked, I had no problems with the service just little things I disliked, but they responded anyway and even changed one of the playlists based on my observation that one song didn’t quite follow the rest of the playlist. I was so impressed I had to write a review. They pointed me in the right direction for my brand as well. Highly recommend.

  • Misleading

Their marketing is misleading- it made it look as if licensing was covered for playing music in public, but PPL/ PRS say this isn’t the case and that it only covers playing it within the workplace to employees.

    Developer Response

Licensing is included in the subscription fee in some countries but not all. If it’s not included in your country, you need to acquire a public performance license from your country’s Performing Rights Organizations (PROs). We apologize for any confusion regarding this.
  • Pairing device is not an option

Why do you have to pair a device if you’re only trying to stream music why is that my only option when I download the app. Very disappointing.

    Developer Response

When downloading the app, you can choose to log in or connect your device with a pairing code. This is to identify what device you want to play music from and give you access to your playlists, schedules, and other personalized content.
  • pretty great player

We switched from Pandora for Business which is the most user unfriendly workplace music player I’ve ever used. Pandora shuffled horribly, doesn’t leave out explicit content even when that option is selected, and even when we had 50 different playlists in rotation, we’d here the same music every day. Soundtrack isn’t perfect (they play a lot of unknown artists and B sides I think,) but you can create hundreds of large playlists using genres and decades and it keeps the music different and inviting. For me, it’s about not hearing the same stuff over and over, I could care less if my favorite artist is playing. I’ve used it for 2 weeks now and I’m just now starting to hear song repeats. I only have about 20 playlists so I just need to add some more.

  • Wish there was a better choice of music

Or at least more depth to the limited choice of channels
  • Why not just let us control a Spotify playlist?!

How is it not an option to just play your Spotify playlist?!?! You literally have one of the only music scheduling apps for controlling a Spotify playlist and you won’t let us use one simple feature. You force the user to use your own mixed 300 song playlist! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, just add the option to only use the songs from Spotify in a playlist. Please! Wait...did I mention, PLEASE!

  • Such a downgrade from Pandora

I switched to “Spotify” from Pandora for Business. This is such a huge disappointment. Whoever did the visual design for the playlists is amazing, but everything else about soundtrack is an embarrassment to Spotify’s name.

  • Don’t bother..

I was looking for alternatives for programs to play music at my restaurant and found this one and decided to give it a try. You would think that for being something you’re paying $35 a month for, they’d let you be able to choose your own songs..nope. I’m glad there was a free trial for it. They have a couple genres you can choose from.

While you can import playlists from your personal Spotify account, not all the songs are imported and then they fill up the playlist with other random “related” songs until they add up to 300. So if my playlist only has 50 songs, maybe 45 will actually be imported and then they’ll fill the rest with 255 other songs. I cancelled my subscription the same day I signed up. Guess I’ll stick with Pandora for business for now.
