This app simply has not worked on my iPad Pro- even with the app update of Jan 2019.

Hi! Very sorry this is happening. Please send me an email so I can look into your exact problem. Chris@creativegreenlight.com
  • Very much responsive

Support is really responsive. The tutorial needs some work but the app works great
  • Most recommended

would buy again and pay more for the utility this provides to my quilt endeavors
  • Easy quiltings

I've designed 3 quilts with this app and have made each of them and they have turned out great. Simple changes I made to positioning with this app made a big difference in the overal aesthetic of the quilt
  • Like the app, needs better directions

So far this app is pretty basic as far as trying to design a quilt layout. Even after watching the video tutorial I still am having trouble figuring out how to add triangle units and such into a layout. The one thing I do like is that you can add pictures of the actual fabrics you plan to use in your layout to see a more realistic version of what it will look like when finished. The app has been very helpful for me deciding on placement of blocks for a disappearing 9 patch pattern, which I love to make but always end up having to make tons of adjustments during the piecing to ensure that I don’t have any of the same colors side by side. Being able to import my fabric into this has made disappearing 9 patch designs a breeze. I would love some clearer instructions on how to construct more advanced designs in this app.

Hi Ashes, thanks so much for your feedback. I’ve worked over the past few months in simplifying the design and work flow. Good thing you didn’t download it a few months ago! 😅. I will continue to work on improvements in additional functionality and simplicity of use. Your feedback is appreciated so I know where to concentrate my efforts. Also, please review the recently released in depth tutorial found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2I_wOz67tY&t=0s and see if that helps!
  • Love, but want more

I love using this app because it lets me play around with my quilt designs and get a feel for them before I dedicate to anything. I only wish that the quilts could be wider and taller than 35 blocks. I like to work with small squares and I’ve done baby quilts with 1 inch squares before, but I can’t really see the whole quilt at a time when it doesn’t have repeating blocks and is larger than 35 blocks wide or high. I also kind of wish there were some more basic block options. But otherwise I love it and will continue to use the app.

Hi! Thank you so much for your honest review - I will add an option to enable larger than 35 block size quilts with information that the larger you go the more battery power the app will use. What would be the max size you would imagine using? When designing the app I have to ensure that memory limitations are met otherwise the application will crash. Also, what do you mean about the basic blocks? If you could send an email to chris@creativegreenlight.com and elaborate that would be amazing! Thanks again! Chris
  • Don’t waste your money

Waste of time and money. You can take a picture of a block but it dose t fit into grid like it shows when taking picture. Useless
  • Very nice

The calculator could be better but overall it is a very good app and easy to use. It’s also quite flexible.
  • Misleading & useless in the end...

-I was looking for a design program that would allow you to not just the number of pieces necessary for the quilt, but the actual yardage needed for said block and/or for pieces of blocks.
-I assumed the app would calculate the yardage of blocks, but all you end up with is the number of each piece necessary to make your quilt. -There is NO finished yardage calculation in the app that I could fine ANYWHERE!! INSTEAD, A little disclaimer window is at the top of the last page directing the user to the internet for that.
-The app designer needs to add additional features to fully edit & delete anything to a finished quilt. Could not find that in the app...
    * For example, I want to add or delete a row in a saved quilt, no can do.
    * I want to delete a finished quilt from the saved library, it can’t be done. So, you end up with a bunch of useless designs in your library that just take up space.
-For me, the description was rather misleading. Now I wasted $2.00. I wish I could have my money returned. :(
-I would give this app a minus one star, if I could!!
    - Now I have to figure out how to cancel this dumb subscription.

Update: the issue you were experiencing has been found and fixed. You will be able to again calculate the yardage etc in version 1.30 and going forward. The update will likely be available by tomorrow. Hi Kristine, I’m sorry Quiltler didn’t do quite what you were looking for. It is helpful for app designers like myself who try and make a product to simplify the lives of others to offer feedback with positives and negatives. When I get a review that says something like “I liked X but didn’t like X so I have it a 3/5 stars, if the developer will fix these issues” it motivates me to fix the issue rather then demoralizes the attempt and makes me want to not work on the app again. Since I’ve done all the design work, all the programming and all of the data work (it’s been a solo project of hundreds of hours). I’ve fixed or added features based on every single 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 star reviews and yet not one of the users has come back to update their review. Very discouraging. That being said, I am still trying to make the app better and more useful and release updates incrementally. I hope you can consider reevaluate the app for what it does rather than what it doesn’t. I’ll update the description to be more exact. That also being said, feel free to get a refund from apple. :)
  • Better than others

You can really do a lot. I like this thing!
