A fair number of changes: some bug fixes, more NOAA data standard fields, support for multiple sketches (with sketch notes option), removed the ACP PDF files, overhaul of map interface, separated SCAT specific data into a geodatbase source apart from the mmpk/map package which now only contains the background mapping data. Survey List : you are not prompted to sign a completed survey, it still available as a button on the bottom of the form Survey Form : Added Sub-Segment field Surface Oiling : "Sediment | Vegetation | Both" selector (NOAA data standard) : Vegetation & Oiling (height, top, bottom) in cm (NOAA data standard) : "M^2 | 100m | Meter | Zone" (tarball unit measure options) (NOAA data standard) : option to record secondary ESI types for zones Subsurface Oiling Form : Added, "Layers" field. Available, only if substrate includes sand. Map Form : new, "Layers" button to turn on/off optional layers currently, layers like: environmental sensitive sites, economic sensitive sites, etc... Segment Form : moved, "Entire Segment Surveyed" checkbox closer to the "End GPS" button. Sketches : support for multiple sketches (currently, 4 sketches) : new sketch selector form (sketch selector strip on bottom similar to photo strip) : sketch form has a sketch notes option Options Form : "USA Mobile Map Package" option: if you are in the USA, but not in California You still may need to do further customization. See, customization guide. CLEAN INSTALLATION: You will have to uninstall any previous version, reboot your iPad, then install this version.

This version includes: - bug fixes - additional data fields necessary to comply with the new NOAA SCAT data standard - short cut for SPILL-ID via button to populate, "YYYY-DRILL-1" - improvement to GPS routines - changes/updates necessary to comply with the new version of Xcode 10 and Swift 4.x programming language - updates to API components such as ESRI mapping SDK, etc... New functions such as: - SPILL-ID shortcut button: alternates auto entry of "YYYY-DRILL-1" and "YYYY-SPILL-1" faster for practice sessions to just tap that button instead of using the picker list. - the SEGID "guesstimator" on the Survey form. NOTE: the best ways to enter SEGID is 1. know where you are going already (aka your assignment) and select that via the picker lists and 2. using the tap to identify the segment on the map which will store that SEGID and populate that on the Survey form for you. - optional new, SUBSEGID field CLEAN INSTALLATION: You will have to uninstall the any previous version, reboot your iPad, then install this new version.

Bug Fixes :track logging was incorrectly evaluating GPS accuracy :surface oiling's tarball number per area value being set to 1, if you checked # per area less than on percent Survey List Form :added "Details" button on bottom. This button will display for the selected survey, a message box detailing how many oiling zone records, pit/trench records, etc..., how many photos and their estimated sizes. If you have the "Reduce Photo Size During Transfer" option turned ON, then the estimated reduced size will be shown. Surface Oiling Form :changed the layout of the form so that ESI type is more prominent. ESI is a required field and with the previous layout it may have been easy to overlook and skip. which then resulted in a more frequent reminder prompt to supply ESI type. :message will appear if degree of oiling is being based upon tarball data rather than standard evaluation. :when editing a surface oiling zone, re-tapping the same record in the zone table would reset the form to its prior saved state. Which would undo any current edits made. Changed this so app would not do this. :NOO checkbox shortcut moved further down the form. Previously, it was amongst the "required" fields which did not make logical sense flow-wise. :Oil Type has been hidden as it is, a seemly redundant field. Subsurface Oiling Form :when editing a pit/trench, re-tapping the same record in the pit table would reset the form to its prior saved state. Which would undo any current edits made. Changed this so app would not do this. Map Form :Segment End Points should display properly :"test" additional layers (sensitive sites) option Options Form :Segment Endpoint Proxmity Warning option When turned ON, during an active survey will alert when you approach end point for Segment specified on the Survey Form. (20 meters or less) :Reduce Photo Size During Transfer If your photo exceed 20MB and you are emailing the data; this option will compress your photos, typically reduced by 50%. :Connection Speed If you have Internet connectivity, tapping on the SCATalogue logo will try and estimate your speed in MB/second.

A number of fixes, additions, the last one listed below (ACP-GRA PDF) isn't fully implemented and also may not remain as a feature depending on feedback. :disallowing user to edit/view completed and transferred surveys if they are currently surveying (if there is an active survey) additional options :disable sleep on iPad when SCATalogue is active (in foreground) :adjustment of the minimal GPS accuracy setting (default 10 meters) :optional warning beep if minimal GPS accuracy not met (default is OFF) :adjustment of the GPS logging interval (default is 3 seconds) :reset of data option (if you have customized data loaded) :If there is an active survey, GPS track logging continues if user is at the "switchboard" form. :Poor GPS warning more clearly displayed (in red in status message at top of forms) :GPS track log saved more often based upon user activity :GPS track log saved automatically when track log reaches 100 track points or more :number current track points in the buffer / queue prior to saving shows in the GPS status message area :truncated labels on forms fixed :re-centered camera icon on bottom of forms :added date & time display to pit/trench form (these are automatically populated) :addressed issue with pit/trench location injection into GPS track point :addressed photo numbering bug :addressed incidental photo bug/crash if more than 5 photos taken :added picklist on Switchboard Form to show ACP GRA PDF documents

Price History of SCATalogue

Description of SCATalogue

The SCATalogue app is a creation of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response (CDFW, OSPR). SCATalogue simplifies the collection of shoreline cleanup assessment technique (SCAT) data during a spill response. Survey data attributes are based upon the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) standard SCAT shoreline oiling summary (SOS) paper form. A SCAT survey is a collection of SCAT data for a length of shoreline which is referred to as a shoreline segment. SCATalogue is designed to support spill response in the marine environment. The survey data can be transferred via email, via iTunes or other methods if available. These other methods are dependent on the user's and/or user's organizational iPad setup and/or information technology (IT) protocols. SCATalogue is, and was designed for use on an iPad, specifically the iPad mini which is used by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Office of Spill Prevention and Response's field response staff. CDFW OSPR's geographic information systems (GIS) unit utilizes ESRI ® GIS software almost exclusively. Data output is in JSON format. Data containing geographic/spatial data is formatted in Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI ®) geoJSON format. This output can be converted into to feature class(es) using ArcGIS Desktop's © ArcToolbox's "JSON To Feature" tool. CDFW OSPR GIS processes the JSON/geoJSON output from SCATalogue using this tool and other custom scripts/tools in ArcGIS Desktop © software. For further information about SCATalogue, please contact CDFW OSPR GIS at osprgis@wildlife.ca.gov. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
