Amazing app

This app is so fun and engaging your kids can learn a whole bunch of new things! And it totally gives them inspiration in their creativity! I’m a user and I’m speaking from experience, this app is awesome and it helps kids find other people who like the same things and then I get so happy when I get even one more follower and it engages me to get more followers by posting more and more things! And this app is so supportive of anyone! and tbh ITS THE BEST THING IVE EVER DOWNLOADED (btw I’m not lying It the best) and I’m not some jerk parent that thinks this is the worst app because you have to pay for it. There is different settings and you can have a free trial for 14 days and you can cancel the subscription and even have up to 4 kids on the same account so you’re not paying for 4 different kids. It’s awesome and it definitely boosts kids confidence and yeah that’s all so I totally recommend downloading this app! OH AND ALSO… there is these adults on DIY that moderate stuff so it’s not inappropriate and is super nice and they delete things that are inappropriate ASAP so no kids can have access or can see things you don’t want you’re kids to see - a person who uses this app 😁😄😃😀❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thought it was free

I thought it was free saw an add for it on youtube and loved the idea of learning to draw and make comics so I started to sign up and in the end found out I had to pay I don’t think I’m going to ever look at this app again till it holds up to what it says and doesn’t make a false statement that you don’t have to pay I would have enjoyed it but I guess I never will

Very good but just one thing

I like it a lot but the only problem is when I try to post something it never ever works it’s like having to get stung by a bee for it to work, also it’s really hard to login so everyone out there, make sure iPad is fully clear/phone so you can make it work, i’m not trying to be rude but I’m going to give us a four out of a five. I don’t want to be rude but don’t download it, I’m kidding!

Amazing app!

There are a few bugs that can be triggered with the right strategy…
For example, it will say I have zero followers zero posts liked zero skills learned and zero posts posted.
Some people can be rude.
I tried to get my friend on but her mom wouldn’t buy the subscription.
But over all it has a nice structure and it’s really addicting.
I currently have 1.6k followers and am middle stage on art.
I have some friends on it!
It’s addicting to all ages!
I know sixty year-olds who love it and 8 in 3 quarters year olds who love it. (Me)
It’s a good 4 (in a half) star game.
But since I can’t do 4 (in a half) stars I’ll let it slip with 5.

Love it!!!

This app is GREAT!! I love how there are videos that show you how to create certain things! My favourite part about DIY is definitely the challenges. I really recommend this app for anyone but maybe no-one younger that 5 as you sometimes need to use knives, scissors and a hot glue gun. I guess you could get adult supervision.

😃

DIY has really helped my self confidents. And I get to see different types of people.

Money

I really wanted to download this app so I could get better at my realistic drawings and learn all the tips and tricks for game like Minecraft and roblox! Now, don’t get me wrong, this seems like a wonderful app, but I tried to open some videos for Minecraft and it said I had to sign up or sign in and get 2 weeks free but then I had to pay. Obviously, I’m just a kid and I don’t have my bank account set up to my phone and I wasn’t going to beg my parents to let me just for me to not gain any talent what so ever (because let’s be honest, how many times have you seen a tutorial on something and actually been good at it). I didn’t want to pay money, I just wanted to learn how to draw. This still seems like a really great app for kids and sometimes even parents! But I deleted it because I didn’t want something taking up storage that I wasn’t using. I hope other people who are willing to pay enjoy this! Thanks 😊

Hi, thanks for your review! The main reason we require a card during sign-up is to comply with a U.S. law called The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) which is a requirement for companies like ours who provide services for kids 13 and under. Plus, DIY is ad-free, bully-free, and supervised by our community moderators. If you have any other questions, let us know at help@diy.org !
