If you are the OurPact developers and are reading this, I am very unpleased to inform you that you have successfully made the most unuseful and annoying parental control app in the history of parental control apps. To be honest I didn’t really have it for a long time but it’s the most annoying thing EVER. I couldn’t delete apps like unsuccessful VPN ones and my parents tried helping me delete them using OurPact senior but it didn’t even allow them to do it. And this thing is SO EXPENSIVE. I saw the subscription thingymabob and it’s $100. I mean like my parents even forgot about this app because it was so unsuccessful, they didn’t even use it. So it wasn’t hard at all to convince them do delete this app. I mean, like, if I’m not trusted to use a screen for an appropriate amount of time, just use screen time! Look, guess what, it’s free! Tada problem solved no more money wasting and having trouble deleting apps!
If you’re a kid reading this please tell your parents that this thing is too expensive and they should use screen time instead; it’s free. Please also give it terribly low ratings so that it can be kicked off the AppStore. And don’t forget, please remember to give the OurPact senior app a really low rating too; this app won’t be kicked off unless the parent app is too.
Thank you so much if you read the whole review, I didn’t write it for nothing.
  • Use it appropriately.

This app is a good tool to protect your kids from adult content, and addiction. It does however, give parents an easy way to break boundary’s and violate privacy without much interaction and commitment. Personally my mom has used it reasonablely but it encourages her to get little more nosy and then a bit more she used to respect my privacy completely but now she’s blocking google searches that include “what does ____ mean” and I understand that but it’s frustrating. She’s checking my search history too. So before you consent to the app ask your parent to ask themselves: would I like it if somebody knew everything I was doing here even if it was technically fine? And probably set some reasonable boundary’s for their use of the app. What it can tell your parent: location, camera roll, screen time, search history what your doing on your device at any moment. What it can limit: screen time, blocks apps, websites, ability to delete certain apps. I hope it doesn’t go downhill for you. Oh I forgot to mention it takes 2 whole mins to turn on or off screen time and it’s super slow and some times doesn’t turn your screen time on while still use in’s it up. Don’t even think about it working without good wifi. I honestly hate this app. Get an app that works and doesn’t even have the option to violate privacy.
  • We can do better

I'm 15 and have had this app for about 2 year's but I just gotta say, teenagers are so dramatic 😂 I find it so funny that the parental version of this app has about 4.5 stars but this one has 1.3 because it's full of a bunch of angry teenagers explaining how their life is "ruined" because there screen time is being managed by their parents haha, but come on guys, your reviews are only proving to parents that the app works and yes it does have a few bugs and I do get frustrated at how limited my screen time is too sometimes but I can tell you that your parents are trying their best to find a way to take care of you and give you the best advantage at life and sometimes that means doing things that you disagree with but that will help improve your life for the better, and often they do make bad decisions but that doesn't mean they aren't trying. So don't be mad at your parents for parenting, it really is hard trying to manage a teenager sometimes and nobody is perfect so neither are they.
