Absolutely useless
So now the cooperative business app chooses to unilaterally de-register you after literally only a few days “due to inactivity“. When you then try to re-register it says you can use the HID Approve mobile security app. The instructions within the cooperative business app states to:
1. Open the HID Approve mobile security app
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN
3. Press okay again to generate a new code
4. Enter the code below
The issue here is that there is no option within the HID Approve mobile security app to enter a four digit pin code at all. It simply is not configured for the function listed above to take place. Hence the only way to re-register in the cooperative business account app is using the physical plastic security token. That is fine when you are at home but completely useless when you are away from home and are not caring with you this otherwise useless piece of plastic.
The quality of the co-op business account is lamentably poor and lagging so far behind any other business bank account. I went for the co-op for their ethical policy but there’s only so much you can put up with.Show lessEpidem1

I’d best be careful what I say, they might de-bank me. For anyone thinking about moving to the CO OP be aware in my view the IT infrastructure is probably one the worst in the industry. I moved to the CO OP thinking support an ethical bank I regret that now. Telephone Support is poor also, I’ve always waited at least 20 mins for a response and go through the same security checks twice. For the last 2 years they’ve been saying the system or App is down for maintenance and improvements, I’ve seen no improvement whatsoever.Show lessCIRJIM
Great if like the same codes again and again
I can’t believe how bad this app is.
I need many new codes to logon, but this app can get stuck in a loop and just present the same numbers again and again and again.ohgreatsffs
The entire process is horrendous
Setting up an small business account using this app is unnecessarily, and horrendously, complicated. SMSs don’t arrive, the process is way too complex (using “security” to justify it is simply not acceptable), and the entire app is not needed - have BoI ever heard of Google (or Microsoft) Authenticator?Show lessDaStefano
Doesn’t work
Co-op - please fix this - you’ve emailed me to say it’s a good idea to set it up and I just wasted an hour out of my day to try and do it. Very unproductive and annoying.Julian @ Thompson
Does what it should, but too slow
I don’t know if this a company issue, but this app sits for a full minute after issuing an OTP, and will not issue another even if you close the app & reopen. Using HID ActivClient with badge reader I can breeze through in 20 seconds what takes 4 full minutes with this app. Usually longer because…who doesn’t start something else while waiting that long?Show lessCheep1

Why don’t the Cooperative Bank go with somebody else?
