KUTX 98.9 Austin Music

No other station captures the Austin Music Experience like KUTX 98.9 FM. What you'll hear is a hand-curated, alternative music mix with a local twist. Our hosts, aka DJ's, have more than 300 years on the radio combined--most of that in Austin. The music staff collaborates on picking the best songs, albums and artists from the great pool of talent that makes Austin the "Live Music Capital of the World." You'll be sure to discover new favorites and enjoy familiar tunes with us. This new version of our app includes access to KUTX's HD channels--AMX and TMX. AMX is all Austin musicians and artists all the time. TMX streams all Texas musicians and songs 24/7. We've added the playlists for these additional channels as well as high-quality streams. We're providing an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec. It sounds great on all platforms, devices, radios and even over cellular. Tap in some headphones and have a listen. We've also added some compatibility with Apple CarPlay. Plugging your phone into your car radio with USB engages CarPlay correctly. We're still working on the wireless way of doing this. The app does play well with Bluetooth in most car models as well.
