Brilliant but some flaws
The concept is brilliant. The software flawed. Focusing on the app, it rarely uploads to Garmin Connect and loses the login info frequently. Little gripe - it always show the pool swims first in history regardless of what I did last (why not show both and then allow me to filter?) The app no longer allows me to report by time, it is stuck on by distance. Touching on the device itself, it is infuriating in the pool as it gets the length wrong happily doing nothing for a number of lengths and then spewing out a series of 1s lengths. Great when it works
I have had my Platysens for almost two years & am yet to get it to work in a pool. The unit has been replaced very easily once & the company couldn’t be more helpful.
It has in the past not uploaded swims to app.
Now the app is not showing any data & I am being asked to jump through hoops to answers. A to where all the swims I have done have gone & there are loads.

With its hardware gadget, this app is amazing
You need to buy the gadget that fits on your swim goggles. I use this for open water swimming. I love being able to draw a route on a map and then not have to think about where I’m going while swimming because the gadget tells me where to go. Great data collection, too.LKS_NH
