Reviews of Italizer

  • NOT a DubDelay, it’s a sound toy.

Expectation: an app I can put in the effects slot of AUM/Audiobus and use as an AU, controllable by its XY pad in the screenshots. Or at least a stand-alone delay I can load an audio file into and maybe add some whistles to.

Reality: I almost feel like this was a bait-and-switch. The ONLY AU EFFECT is a SUPER SIMPLE delay. No flange control, nothing particularly dub about it. That whole part with the XY-Pad and LFOs, yeah that is for an entirely separate INSTRUMENT that is the Synth, but there’s no real musical keyboard control so it is just a two lfo noise maker. You can’t even load audio files into it.

So what this app really is, is a noise maker Synth that also adds a simple delay AU effect as a bonus. If you want to make sounds, there are better apps, if you want a delay there are way better apps. If you want them combined, this ain’t it neither.

So caveat Emptor. Bonus star for at least having Ableton Link, but already removed from my iPad.
  • Can’t turn off latch sometimes

Kind of fun as intermittent sound generator. But the latch function gets stuck on sometimes. I have to force quit the app to turn that function back off. Too bad because the latch mode is exactly how I want to use this, but it is unreliable so the app is not used because of this probably easily fixable bug.
  • What a bunch of bs.. who ever wrote the one review that came up is full of it. I wish th

Please give me back my 10 dollars so I can get an app I can make music with. this is bs. I love reggae, dub and music. I thought that this was gonna add some dub flavor to my tracks. I can’t see myself using this except on a weird space track or some thing.. it has like 7 sounds that don’t really even remind me of a dub siren.. that’s it.. an x/y to control the one sound.. I wish someone had written a real review and would of saved me from this useless app... jah, at least let us run our own sounds through your delay x/y? Who ever wrote the one review that came up is full of it.. love affair? How bout useless waste of ten dollars.. I can’t believe I fell for it. I thought it had to be good because it was high priced for what it did.. my advise as lover of music and production.. spend your $ on a different app. You’ll be happier and get more use out of it. One love.
