Misunderstood
The app is okay. Has some good recipes but I guess I misread the description. I thought if I scanned an item at the store, the app would tell me if it is vegan or not. It just asks me if I think it’s vegan and I’m like I don’t know, that’s why I’m scanning it to see! And I think the subscription is it a bit too much in my opinion. Looks Nice but a bit Offensive
So “free w/ in-app purchases”? Sorry, but I couldn’t launch the app without a subscription. It immediately asks to start a 3-day, free trial. That’s the shortest free trial I’ve ever heard of. On top of that, I got the app to find out if something was vegan. I definitely felt that this item wasn’t and wanted to verify.
So, fire up the app, sign up for a subscription… as we all know, “Free trial” means subscription. It’s on you to cancel. Anyway, I scan the product and it asks me “Do you think this is vegan?”. Now, I understand that it’s crowd-sourced, but to expect someone to pay money to be like “What do you think? Three other people don’t think that it is.” is offensive. I can go on Reddit for crowd opinion without any verification and NOT pay $4.99/wk! (Default Subscription).
What stinks is that I’m sure there’s some value here that warrants a 4-star rating, but I’ll never see it. I’m immediately turned off by this ham-fisted subscription model and an app that asks me what I think when I’m looking for answers. Only my therapist can answer my questions with questions. Again, I bet there’s some hard work and value here, but this app has already ruined its chances with me.Show lessLToynbee

Never worked! Every barcode I scanned I got the wheel of wait! Wanted to contact them for help but I couldn’t figure out how! I did find a email at the end of the terms of service. I googled it and there was a website that had a bunch of comments from other people having the same problems as I am from this company!Show lessnomeansno!
Great Concept, Poor Execution
Product scan never found a result; it just sat there until I force shut down the app.
The layout was terrible with squished recipe pictures. And the How To section was missing content.
Hope they improve this app because nobody else really owns this space right now.electronic_j
App Doesn’t Work!! Please Read the Reviews!!
There was no trial for me to use it so I paid the subscription from jump. Unfortunately, everything I scanned for the past week has been saying “Looking for your product” and it never looks for the product. Please do not waste your money! You’re better off to just use the Google App or some other search engine to look into the ingredients. Highly disappointed. ):Show lessBeeJuLee
Rip off
The app promised two free months before you would be charged the 20$ yearly subscription. I was immediately charged $20 after I downloaded. Then the app itself doesn’t work. I scanned several products only to be shown a loading screen indefinitely. do not download this app!!
i was trying to find a good ingredient list checker and saw this one with a ton of reviews. you download the app for free, but then cannot use it unless you get the “trial”. the “trial” doesn’t actually exist because it immediately charges you the full $20. then after paying the $20, it doesn’t even work to begin with! you scan your item, and it just says its loading continuously. i opened a claim and got refunded through apple.
ive never even left an app store review before, but i’ll do it for this one just so it can save someone the time, hassle, and/or money that this scam puts up.Show lessdanam619
Great concept, did not work
I downloaded this app today to my iPhone. It does not work. I tried scanning multiple items, and it just kept searching and never stopped searching. Also, in the recipe section, there appear to be only 7 recipes in total. I tried deleting and reloading the app. I tried turning off my phone and powering back up. Immediately tricked into paying $20
When you open the app it misleads you to think you’re getting a free trial, then charges you $20 to use it before you even realize what’s happening. That alone is extremely shady, but if the app actually worked I might have considered it money well spent, just to make shopping easier. I tested it by scanning some Chao vegan cheese that I already had, and it never loaded! Already seeking a refund.Show lessMaejor88
Great idea but does not deliver
I’m a beginner on the whole food plant based diet and hate the time it takes to read the ingredients of everything I pick up. Was thrilled to see there was an app for exactly this! Downloaded the app while in the grocery store and promptly tried to put it to use. App said there was a free 2 week trial. Cool!!
But...
None of the barcodes I scanned would even load. Got home, none of the barcodes I scanned would load either.
As a bonus, they charged me $20 for this piece of trash app even though they said it was a free 2 week trial.
