Badly needs an update.

This rating is for the app; it needs lots of work guys so keep working at it. The main 4 issues with the app is Bluetooth connection lags, proximity sensor doesn’t work well, battery life time doesn’t display correctly, and light controls need fine tuning. The product itself (BaseLantern in my case) is well designed physically and works well.Show lessakmelram

Not sure what the other reviews expected of the app.. Works awesome and connects quickly with both the baselantern XL and firepit. Particularly useful for lazy guys like myself who don’t like to get up to shut off the lights. Great job biolite!SpenserG
BPM Match
The app does not have BPM match as indicated... please update the app to have the features you say it will have!MrsKilrain
Nothing more than an expensive flashlight
Just unboxed for a upcoming backpacking trip. The app continues to crash even though I have tried a dozen times to reinstall. The proximity sensor is useless. You have to reconnect the Bluetooth just to get the light to come on when you are in Bluetooth range. 2 stars out of 5.j s 111111111
App needs work for sure
The app is well designed but unfortunately has a few very annoying issues.
The main couple for me are:
It doesn’t automatically connect to your base lantern, you need to do it what feels like -every- time you open the app.
It doesn’t show the current battery percentage unless you plug it into power
The ‘time left’ thing at the top doesn’t work in the slightest bit. It either says 0H 00min or 30 minutes or 11 minutes, but the battery is completely full so I don’t know how it gets that figure.
For me, these issues need to be fixed, otherwise they’ve obviously put a lot of work and time in to the app but have some fatal flaws unfortunatelyShow lessMoylann
Disappointing
This app has great potential but it just doesn’t work. Biolite products are it cheap. I expect things to work when I pay a premium price.Jynx41517
BPM does not work
I’d love to use the music feature but it isn’t there on the appkurtbreure
Missing features
There is no BPM match feature, as advertised on the box
The favourite settings don’t work very well. Save a setting shortcut, click on it, and a different lighting style pops up. Some work, most don’t. What’s the point?
The battery meter says 25 to 33 mins left no matter what, full charge, half charge, almost no charge. Again, what’s the point

Very nice
Just put the Firelite together and started a fire. Then remembered there was an app so loaded it to see how that would go. Paired painlessly. Kind of simple but it does exactly what it says it does.Abq Mandolin
