GOOD LUCK

I wasted a couple of hours trying to get this app to download the free packs and the one that I paid for but it just got stuck over and over when the downloads were almost complete. I had the same issue on a gen 5 with 128 gig and an air 2 with 64 gig. Both iPads had plenty of space left. I tried reinstalling but no luck. I looked at the faq advice on the website.. no help at all. I did like a couple of the packs but found the interface very confusing and not intuitive so probably no great loss. Took my money though. Someone wrote that this is what Blocs should have been. Really? That is the most inspiring app that I have ever used and I have been doing this for a long time. Blocs may have less features but nothing compares for getting ideas going and if you jam on the sections buttons it is like nothing else out there. If only you could record those jams via midi. I really had high hopes Jamm pro after reading the other reviews but maybe it needs a more modern iPad. If so it needs to say so on the App Store.

Response from developer

Our apologies for the delayed response. - Hey x So sorry, you didn’t have a good experience with Jamm. As you note, it does work better on newer machines. The new version does work on modern iPhones? Mail info(at)jammpro.net And will send you some killer free samples X Jamm team

Cool app

I’m really enjoying this app

The interface that was always absent with playing & making “electronic” music

Immersing fun to play with & a powerful emulator/controller that gives an extensive way to manipulate & play rhythmical patterns of sounds, instruments, or stems & elements you’ve made in a way that daws & turntables/djay software struggle with as being designed to be controlled by mouse or midi controllers is limiting to where you can set up kit like that etc, either as music editor or as a live performance device it seems already set up to make & perform music on the move & has the advantage of live performance style modulation of elements in real time as a standalone instrument as they unfortunately never made a tb303 etc that was portable & could be held as an instrument, probably genuinely only limited by your imagination, creativity & lifes time constraints, looking forward to seeing what I can do with it

Response from developer

We're very appreciative of your positive review and the generous comparisons made to amazing and renowned hardware . Have fun and feel free to tag us on social media with your projects #MadeOnJammPro to be considered for our JammerOfTheWeek.

Amazing

Jamm pro can be used for live performance or (I think) well useful to chop samples and edit for productions. I think recording in to. DAW works but could Also be a great 4 track sequencer. Designed by a genius!

Response from developer

Thank you for the positive review, Jamm Pro can indeed be used for live performance (Check out our Jamm Pro for Phones Special on the coldcut youtube channel) and recording in is supported with a purchase of the Jamm Creator Pack :) This could be either your microphone or through an interface, or even other apps with Inter-App-Audio. If you require any assistance using these more advanced functions, please reach out to us on social media, the manual is also very comprehensive. Thanks again for being part of the Jamm Community!

Add AUv3 please

otherwise demented and perfect audio mangling looper

Response from developer

Thank you for your comments, I can provide a response to the title request below. "Unfortunately the architecture of JammPro just does not lend itself to implementation for a UV. It’s something we have looked into it deeply, sorry! However it does work with lnter-app audio that is a way you can use it with other apps." - Matt We appreciate your support and hope that you share your work with us in the Jamm Pro community!

So good.

TL;DR;

This is the best remix app (for me) on the App Store. It’s comprehensive, deep and detailed but equally well-designed in terms of UI and UX. Buy it.

It’s clear that Coldcut have built this for themselves and have applied their style and ethics (it’s inexpensive, generous and different to everything else I have seen - and I probably own 80% of the entire Music section of the App Store).

There are loads of video tutorials available - mostly featuring Matt and other fans/contributors from the world of electronic music.

My only suggestions for further improvement would be:

I) tutorials on creating user packs from scratch (it’s actually made simple using standard file/clip types and XML for settings, if you want to write them yourself but you can obviously use the app as well for the performance aspect);

II) the visual design of the app is unique and very Coldcut but I’d love the ability to choose a different look and feel… or even to design one.

If there was a hardware version of this app (is Traktor 3 + Kontrol S4 Mk3 + F1 (or an S8) the nearest thing?) it would be an insta-buy!

Well done guys - keeeeeeeep mixing…

Keeps crashing

I have yet to actually try this device because it won’t open. I’m not sure if it’s the app, the latest update from Apple, or an incompatibility with my IPad Air. I really wish I could utilize this App (especially since I paid for it)

Lots going on..lots to learn

Freaking Amazing! Deep & complicated actually, gonna take a minute for sure! Looking forward to this app for years as I remember him telling me about plans for this app! Well done. Look forward to some tutorials and performance vids. Hope to see some in depth tutorials for using own loops. Will this have iPhone version?

Wow so many options so much fun

Stumbled across this on sale. Never heard of it before then watched a few videos. For the first few minutes I was a bit overwhelmed but after watching a few YouTube tutorials I settled in and had a blast. Unlimited possibilities here from jamming to composing songs to composing soundtracks to ones videos. There has never been an app with so many performance options available. Incredible. It needs more publicity specially from the bigger iOS channels.

I would trust any product from this developer

My original review: The “store” to buy sets is glitchy at best. Have paid for two; neither will download. It constantly reverts to showing that I never bought them, so I use the “restore purchases” command which shows them to be available for download, then they won’t download, then the cycle starts again.

Revised... so I was way too mean above. The developer worked really hard and was persistent about fixing the problem - even when that turned out to be difficult. I give him top marks for professionalism. And the program is excellent .

What I should have mentioned earlier is that the product is a truly inspired tool for working with loops and samples. Its features and options are deep. They may take some time to fully explore and understand, but that time spent is greatly rewarded. Once you’re comfortable with it, JammPro is incredible. Its strength is probably in live performance, and it is incredibly fun to “play” and has the level of sophistication that I think could allow its use as the core instrument for a live electronic performer.
