Reviews of Forward

  • Amazing Service and Medical Support

I used Forward for over a year. Forward offers a great service provided to people who occasionally need care but want to have more autonomy in the process. The staff were always courteous and responsive the doctors listened to my medical concerns on a deep level and responded with medical protocols that helped me get well or optimized my health improvement. I always got a quick appointment virtual or in person. There were no in cue waiting for prescription refills or review of documents for referrals to specialists. This meant I didn’t need to miss time from school or student research to organize all of the administrative moving pieces that come along with healthcare appointments. Being with Forward also got me on a positive path for medical weight loss support, although this wasn’t my initial reason for the service.
The app and biometrics were game changers in having my documented medical experiences believed.
My only area that caused my cancellation was the monthly service cost. It became a budgetary challenge to have Forward and my medical insurance premiums.
If my budget increases or their pricing structure changes I will definitely consider using their services again.
  • How health care should be for everyone

I’ve been a fan for years. This platform combined with the professionalism of the doctors makes it an essential self-care service in my life.

It’s always been challenging for me to stay on top of my preventative maintenance health stuff. Forward makes it possible.

Tracking all of my health concerns consistently — from blood pressure to mental health just makes sense. From skin cancer screenings to vaccinations and referrals I’m beyond impressed with my care team and service. For the price sometimes I feel like I’m getting away with something.

I pay for this on top of my insurance but value the service it’s like a luxury concierge I can’t live without.

When I can’t do telehealth or get an immediate answer in the app, a visit to the office (in a gorgeous new part of Miami) is an adventure for me. I trek down from Fort Lauderdale but I make a day of it.

I can’t recommend Forward enough and wish it were the default standard for the world but until then I’ll keep telling my friends.
  • Convenient comprehensive care with smart doctors

I was unhappy with my HMO insurance, and I had been following Forward for a while. When they opened in my city I decided to try them out. My onboarding appointment was extremely comprehensive. The doctor spent over an hour with me, going through my history and discussing my concerns. Within a week I also had an appointment to discuss my genetic testing results, which I found valuable. Then I had lab testing which uncovered a few issues that we are addressing. They have been prompt with follow up and I am able to easily ask questions when I have them.

I have found my main doctor to be smart, empathetic, and willing to work with me. We decide together how to move forward, discussing pros and cons, which is the opposite of what I have experienced in the past (where the doctor looks up what the HMO will cover and that’s the only option you’re given). As with any service like this, a lot of your experience will be dictated by the individual doctors, but the 4 that I’ve met so far were great.

Could the app use an overhaul? Sure. But I also think it has improved since many of the reviews were written. I don’t find it hard to navigate or use. If there are issues, I just chat in and someone helps me (usually within an hour).

Overall, I find Forward to be well worth it, especially for someone who wants a more “tech forward” approach with virtual visits and everything handled online.
