Does exactly what I need for free. Simple and easy when usually that’s difficult to find
Good at the time, but apple built it into new iOS
Unfortunately now… Apple has added the ability to crop video directly from the camera roll (took them long enough). But beforeee that, this app was my go-to for video cropping.
The differences I found between Apple vs this app: Apple keeps the original frame rate of the video and this app converts to default 30 FPS.
This app you can choose the quality of the crop result (low-med-high). Can choose video container output in this app (mov or mp4).
Big difference however - file size of cropped video. If you crop a video with apple’s built in tool in the camera roll, it keeps the same file size of the video (in case you want to revert and undo the crop).
This app is nice in that it doesn’t alter your original video, it gives you a cropped copy. However. The file size nearly doubled for some of my videos when I did some cropping (narrowed the width of the video). Cutting the width of the video by half created a video file double the original size. Was odd.
So reasons to keep using this app/downloading… not sure. Maybe if you needed to crop a video and specifically wanted really small file sizes adjustable in the settings?

I don’t often give 5-star reviews, but this app is more than worthy. It does exactly what it says, plus it’s quick, simple and easy to use. I’m actually disappointed there’s no way to pay the developer - maybe add a tip jar?
The only addition I can suggest is h265 (HEVC) output in addition to MP4. Otherwise it’s perfect.
(Oh, can you create a Mac version? I’ll be happy to send you some $. Seriously!)

I've used this app for a year now, and I love it. Screen-grabbed videos are very high memory (HD), so I run all my videos thru this app, then delete the original. (1) Adjust the crop size, and (2) use Medium quality - videos convert quick and easy. Just those 2 steps will make the world a better place. You can then share on social, text, email, etc easily. 🍿

Surprised…
Sometimes some apps will allow you to use certain features for a few tries, you love them then after a few great test runs they will silently deny you to download your material by creating a “download error” stop meaning basically…to get rid of the download error, buy me. Am giving this app 4 stars right now, was simple to crop vids with ease…will come back and issue an update if necessary. As it stands, good app, thank you.
