  • Game doesn’t same mid-playthrough!

Absolutely unforgivable in an iOS app! Get a phone call, put down the phone off for 5 minutes to do something else and BAM, back to the title screen, all your progress lost.

Would be 5 stars, but as of now, LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE!
  • A nice pick up and play game with good depth.

    Good stuff
  • Nice job

Really enjoyed this game and appreciated the updates over the past year or so. Thanks!
  • Really Nice Unique Survival Game

I really don’t understand the complaint in one of the reviews that the game is “too random”. That is the purpose of the game. You make choices every step to increase your chances against random events. I am really enjoying Frost. The gameplay really does feel like a survival or a roguelike game where you’re not supposed to necessarily win even if you make good decisions every turn. The event cards create a pretty nice diverse gameplay every time you play. Three resources create many combinations for cards to buy within every attempt.

I also enjoy the art style that looks like someone has drawn by hand on paper as opposed to creating it entirely on computer. I don’t know whether it’s actually the case but it looks nice. Also the audio is very impressive.

  • Great game! Reminds me of tabletop deck builders like Dominion.

I am a big fan of deck builders and this definitely takes the cake for this type of genre on iOS.

The attention to detail on this game is amazing and you can tell a lot of heart and soul has been put into this game.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to future updates/releases.
  • Simple and elegant

This game has great artwork, a really fun atmosphere, simple to learn with some great mechanics, and it almost always boils down to plain skill. Love the setting, love the sounds, love everything about the game! The scenarios are great too. Really love this hidden gem!
  • One of a Kind

Great game. If you even slightly like deck builders or resource card games, this is a must.
One thing though, the app icon seems to be messed up after downloading. Can you make it look like it does in the store?
  • Very difficult, very random

First, the game is almost unplayable on an iPhone because of its small size. The graphics are simply scaled down from the desktop version, and are so small that buttons are very difficult to press and none of the text is readable. I was only able to play because I am familiar with the desktop version of the game. Second, the game is unfairly difficult and ridiculously random. Very often you need to so a random search to acquire resources, and far too often you either get nothing of value in return or your character dies. It's incredibly frustrating to try to build up resources and come up empty handed. The "easy" difficultly level is insanely difficult. To win you need to perfectly manage your resources and have great luck on your side. This game could be good if it was made much less difficult and had random events be beneficial more often. As it is, it's an incredibly frustrating experience.

  • My favorite card game

I love this. One of my favorite iPad games and definitely my favorite iPad card game. It is challenging, but strategic and fun. There is a luck element too. I love it. It reminds me of Friday and Robinson Crusoe.
  • Brutally Hard Deckbuilding Survival Game

Edit: this game is just too brutally hard. It seems I can only win a scenario if the stars are aligned. Not as much fun to lose and lose and lose.

I (used to) really enjoy this. I just wish I was better at it.

If you have played Friday, the deck building card game, it is similar. One of the cool things is that as you play more content is unlocked. This is good and bad. As you get comfortable with the game and start winning, it because more complicated. I'm at that point where I'm not quite winning anymore. I've had a good run of several games, but now they are getting harder.

The app plays well and as expected. Only thing to know is to save a game in progress you will need to press the "?" And select leave game. Otherwise you may lose your place.
