Actually not too bad.
Takes some time to get use to the app, but not too shabby for an iPad app. File save feature could be a little more robust and user friendly.
Still couldn’t get ggplot function to work, but honestly not really needed since I can use all the other plotting functions like matplot, scatterplots, etc.

This app is awesome. I often find that I need to perform a quick analysis, and this is much faster and easier to play around with than going to get my laptop and firing it up.
Need to quickly provide a reality check on the significance of a ratio of two priorities during a meeting? This app has you covered. Want to explore generating randomly-generated time series data? Easy to start on your phone.
It’s no substitute for RStudio and an in-depth analysis, but it works, it’s convenient, and you can trust the math.Show lesstjh

How does one upgrade to the premium version? I’ve looked on the free App and cannot find a way to upgrade to the one-year version. Please advise. Thank you.

I am pretty amazed that this app exists and impressed with how smoothly it functions. It takes a moment to figure out how to access the file/folder structure. Again, you are using R ON YOUR PHONE, so I would just recommend to have some patience with a different UI experience. It comes with many useful packages installed, and plots generate quite quickly.
Personally I like to use it to test and practice code snippets with builtin datasets. I am trying to improve my Base R skills, and this is a great way to practice core syntax skills like subsetting and base plotting. Sometimes when you are working on a project you get an idea that you want to sketch out while you are out and about. I imagine this could also be useful for teaching purposes (i.e. casting examples/visuals to a screen) though I don't know why one wouldn't just use a laptop in that case. It's not what I would call convenient for writing amd executing long scripts, but I don't think that's the intended use case here. An imaginative teacher could probably come up with some great class activities with this if students were also to download the app.Show less4886313579531
Hands Down the Best iOS R App
There really isn’t any other app for running R code on an iOS device in the App Store. There are only three I’d change: ability to install libraries from GitHub, the timeout period, and testing/running R shiny apps. And all of those I’m sure are limitations of using a mobile app and are more nice to haves.Show lessMcawesome1
Annoying ads and not interactive
The joy of R is incremental data exploration. This just runs in batch mode and requires an internet connection so the server can execute your code. This app fails at the design concept level. Avoid.KD4TTC
Generally good app
The app is quite good - I have been able to do Bayesian statistics on an iPad using it, avoiding the need to carry a weighty laptop around.Jimbo2020000

Solid, useful, needs more work
This is a great way to try out r code and jot down ideas while in the go. The range of included packages is great, and will get you through most tasks.
What’s this app needs is a console so you could interact with R one line at a time instead of running whole script. For now, the workaround is to select some lines of code and run them, then check a different window for output. Not a great workflow.Show lessfractal_h
