  • I’m impressed!

I use this app quite a bit for running simple R scripts and visualizations on the go...and I like it for quickly trying out new programming scripts, even some machine learning models. Notably, the Developer really cares about feedback and doing right by its customers—they are responsive! I was dissatisfied with an aspect of an earlier update and wrote a critical review of it. The developer reached out to me and quickly made arrangement to solve my concerns, and even improved my user experience in the process. I have changed my opinion—now I am a very enthusiastic supporter of both the app and the developer.

  • Doesn’t work

For the second time tonight I’ve wasted good money on an app. My first test showed this to be working, producing the expected plot output. But then it stopped working. Restarting the app made no difference. Neither of these simple programs produced any output:

    print(“hi”)

    and:

    cat(“hi”)

If the problem is internet connection, it should say so, not do nothing.

  • Pretty good

It even has swirl already downloaded. The thing is I cannot find any text mining software. I am also a novice.
  • A lot of potential ..still need some enhancements

Currently, the best available R ...for iPhones. Still Needs some upgrades ...but definitely on the right path. Kept up the good work folks.

Thanks! We have a new update by the way!
  • The basic functionality works and it's great to have on iOS

It's hard to work on an iPhone, but can be very useful in a pinch.
  • R compiler is very rudimentary

This R compiler is a very rudimentary and still needs a lot of work to make it functional. It has a limited ability to open and read/write files. It writes code into text files that you have to cut and paste into your desktop RStudio to do real programming. There are no instructions to guide users.

Nevertheless, if you have any code fragment ideas that you want to test, you can type them in on the fly and execute the code - which is pretty cool. But it runs pretty slow. This is more of a quick learning tool so don't expect a lot from it.

  • Useful app

Very useful app when a pc is missed.
    Developers answer your queries promptly.
  • Potentially interesting but buggy

This app could be very useful for many users, but it is currently (Jan 2017) very buggy. Trying to use the source code editor with an iPad keyboard is painfully unpredictable. Also key packages like dplyr are missing. Nevertheless, worth keeping an eye on.
  • Amazing!

Does this really need a review? Yes, it's R, with packages (including ggplot2), running on an iPhone or iPad! For free!

If you know what R is, you really should have this on your iPhone!

I do have minor suggestions, like making file sync easier... and better file management (like Pythonista)? Maybe in a future version?
