Sooo good!
This game has the perfect balance of 'homage to the original adventure book', and update to modern adventure gaming.
It also has huge replay-ability thanks to the number of heroes to choose from, their individual quests, abilities and the parts of the mountain they can access.
I am thoroughly addicted and I just hope they recreate more of these classic books in this way.

Great job!!
You can really tell the team put a lot of love and thought into this game. Very enjoyable. Other app store reviews seem harsh - the magic of the adventure, story and decisions are all there and that's what it's all about! All the extras such as the Fighting Fantasy history are a nice addition. Thanks for making this game, I'd buy more. I think these games should not have in app purchases though, people will pay a one off fee for a decent game.

Awesome game!!
This is one of the best games I have ever played and is a lot of fun. I enjoy playing the game with the different playable characters.
Great Presentation; Bad Combat
I really like the look, the models, and the story. The combat however is lacking. You alternate move/attack with all enemy units on a small grid separate from story environment. They attack or move in a pattern and you attack or move to take advantage or avoid the attack pattern. It's a boring dance like puzzle. I wanted it to be so much more. Worth a try; you might like it.

Guess this isn't my cup of tea
Tried Sorcery series and this game; just felt long and drawn out with a ton of reading and random guessing instead of strategy.
Combat in this game felt like a drawn out game of chess and just wasn't fun for me.
Also seemed to lack a plot I could connect with.
App deleted. Guess it's just not my cup of tea.

Love, love, love this game!
Like a lot of people I remember playing the game book as a kid. I really like the style of this game with your character being moved around as if a board game piece. Although the graphics aren't amazing they are still pretty slick; I like how the map drops into place as you move through it, and the ability to zoom in and have a closer look.
The combat took a bit of getting used to but does really add to the game as rather than a simple roll of the dice, there is a bit of strategy involved as you decide to either move your character or which attack to use. Works really well I think!
I really like that the different characters actually give different options and pathways through the game rather than just being cosmetic and that the objects within the game are not always in the same place so helps with the replay value. The purchasing of the extra characters is a bit steep but they aren't necessary in completing the game.
On the whole, whether you buy this as a nostalgic trip or are new to Fighting Fantasy you will enjoy this game!! Can't wait for other titles to be released :-)

D&D fan? GET THIS
By no means am I a D&D know it all, nor am I a crazed table top game person, but let me tell you that if you like any sort if rpg, D&D, diablo-esk game, fantasy in any degree, this is for you.
I never heard of the original warlock of firetop mountain, but holy balls this game is fun and challenging enough to make you come back for more.
I think there are about 11? Playable characters, each with their own playstyle.
There's a fair amount of pictures which can be seen in both the original black and white art work or with color. Both amazing in their own right, which bring more life to the game.
Without a doubt, first app I purchase which doesn't make me feel like I wasted my money. Worth every single penny.
My only complaint is that I want more of this world.

Really great title
I was waiting for this to come out for sometime. I enjoy all the Tin Man games, but this one is incredibly well done. If you enjoy the old style choose your own adventure RPGs, this game is for you.
Would have been great 20 years ago
The trouble with this game is that it plays like games out of the 80s which is where it originates from. That would have been fine then but I am not sure a lot of us like having to play the same levels over and over again like we did back then. Thats pretty much what you have to do get through the game. I stopped playing after my 20th time starting from the scrath again. I would have loved this as a child in the 80s but cant be bothered now, its too bad because apart from restarting constantly its not a bad game.

Nostalgia runs high
I had forgotten about game books till I started playing games on iOS. I started reading about them because of all the games out on the AppStore based on them. I used to read them as kid but had forgotten I ever did. I tried playing Sorcery! But couldn't get into it. I also tried playing some of the digital table top games on here also because I also played as kid, I was a huge D&D geek, but I couldn't get into them either. I figured I out grew all of it completely even though I still play video games and love rpg's and fantasy games, books, and movies. I haven't gotten back into tabletop gaming, though. So I tried to give the genre another shot because of my love of fantasy pop culture and because of the great reviews this game has received and Bam! It hit me! I was transported back to my childhood days playing D&D and reading these game books. This game melds the 2 styles perfectly and gives me that nostalgic feeling of playing D&D with my friends in my room or alone reading these game books. The power of choice and consequences in an incredible beautiful fantasy world in my hand is perfectly implemented here. It's so much fun I highly recommend this game. I'm even going to revisit Sorcery! & give it another shot
