Outdated and feature limited

This is bare bones basic. The QU series app had more functionality. What’s the point of a unit you can use without a surface if the app is lite. Look elsewhere if you want a good app for FOH.

Limited Functionality

It’s pretty sad when a $400 mixer from soundcraft has functions this flagship mixer does not. I’m talking about editing fx parameters. Other A&H mixers have this functionality. The sq series has it. I have to walk for about 5 minutes and take an elevator to a tech booth where I can hardly hear what the audience hears to make a small adjustment to verb times. Absurd.

Not super useful, but works fine.

For a company with such great console UI, I’d honestly expect more from A&H’s official app for their flagship mixing system. Lacks in-depth control.

Awesome but Frustrating

Love this app, but I’m not a fan of the way it requires me to login after switching to another app (like ForScore). And it requires my password… every.single.time! This is not helpful mid performance.

Not as good as SQ MixPad!

Using this app for the first time this weekend. I have been using the SQ version for some time and it is so much more usable to get system checks and stage mixes done quickly.
- No signal generator access
- swiping to find the mix you want to access, takes too long and you have to double tap to activate and then go back to the inputs layer.
- limited set up and routing options on the fly
- lack of mobile metering
- no access to Scene functions

And so much more not there that should be for a flagship product

Where is the Home Tab?

Coming from other A&H consoles & companion apps the home tab is missed. Easy access to all meters and RTA view. This should be here. Also, maybe a group view selector instead of swiping through inputs quickly jumping to a bank of 8 (without setting up a custom view) would be nice.

Very convenient and helpful tool!

I have used this app many times with many dLive configurations (both touring and install) and I should say this app does come in handy with any and all configurations. I started with iLive years ago and I must say that was frustrating to work with. Then I used GLD, QU, and SQ, and now dLive apps, and again, these are really well built and thought about.

Those that expect this app to replace the surface should not own a dLive system.. just wanted to start off with that. So I do want to stress that this should not be used to replace the surface but to instead help.

What I also love is the fact that compared to the ilive, and qu apps, the (my 12.9) iPad Pro adds more channels on the screen as compared to on the smaller devices. The older apps would just give you 8 channels and just blow them up on the iPad Pro. So BIG change that makes things just a little easier.

The basics

Good simple interface. Love the two independent rows. Killer features needed: scene control, FX control. Scene is an absolute MUST! our mixer doesn’t sit in the main sound field, so we love on our iPad quite often. We can’t utilize the power of scenes since we can’t control the changes from our iPad. Contemplating switching to a surface pro and use Director instead.

Thanks for nothing

My iPad was auto updated to this version. The mixer is still running 1.62. I am not sure when the mixer will be updated. I can no longer use the app to control the mixer. Apparently there is no way to revert back to a previous version.

Decent App

This is a pretty decent app. There are a few quirky things about it. I would love to have the ability to have portrait mode. Landscape only is quite limiting if the band wants to use it on stage.

I'd also love if you were able to tap on the mix in the upper right corner and be able to select your mix from that location. It's cumbersome having to always go into the list of mixes at the bottom.
