Description of TotalMix Remote for iPad

TotalMix Remote is a remote client for RME’s Windows/Mac software TotalMix FX 1.50 and up. It gives remote control over the audio interface’s mixer and effects software TotalMix FX that runs on the host computer. TotalMix Remote uses TCP/IP and therefore works on the iPad wirelessly in any network. *** This app works only with RME audio interfaces that are supported by TotalMix FX! *** TotalMix Remote runs on iPad2 or newer, and all iOS versions from 12.0 up, using only few resources. It does not process audio, but acts as remote control for a Windows/Mac computer which has an RME audio interface attached, and TotalMix FX v1.50 or up installed. The app is nearly identical to the desktop version of TotalMix FX, in features, operation, design and functionality. Some limitations apply. Please refer to the included help for details. The latest version of TotalMix FX is part of the audio interface's driver installation, available for download at http://www.rme-audio.de, section Download.

  • Not compatible with my iPad 2.

In the description it says it works with iPad 2. It doesn't.
  • Great app.. great ongoing support

To have a mixer app working perfectly on latest iOS for an interface that’s over a decade old is pretty special. Awesome stuff
  • Does not conform to Apple's Accessibility spec! Avoid, should you require VoiceOver support!

Unfortunately, yet one more example of a product line that does not conform to any Accessibility guidelines. Almost no part of the RME software appears to be Accessible under any OS: iOS, MacOS or Win!
Should you be blind or otherwise unable easily to read a screen (and thus rely on speech/braille output via Screen-Reading software), it would appear you are out of luck with RME-Audio!
    A pity!
