Great product

I had some issues syncing initially. The directions could be clearer about that. Hit the pairing button on the app them connect on the GPS receiver. But afterwards the product has worked flawlessly. I love being able to view the track history and total distances by you and your dog. Once they make an app for the Apple watch this will make use even easier as there will no longer be a need to pull out your phone.

Thank you for your feedback and we will look into making the instructions clearer. Also, as we continue to enhance our Application and Technology, we hope to have this option with the Apple Watch on future models.

Awesome!

This collar is incredible for the price. Being able to track my dog without cell signal or not needing a stand alone GPS unit is incredible value for the money.

Cons: Some disappointments are I thought the “geo-fence” ability would stimulate the e-collar if my dog steps close to the set boundary automatically. There also is no “vibration”, it’s stimulation and an audible beeping tone only. I liked the vibration ability on other dogtra offerings and rarely ever using the stimulation.

I’m training my dog to return using the “beep”. A vibration ability like the other dogtra collars would have been awesome.

If you had that in mind for the geo-fence e-collar, keep in mind you’ll have to manually correct your dog. I also wish it had proximity where I’d be alerted if my dog moves say 100ft away from me....while I’m moving.

It just seems like there should be more training possibilities with this app. But....it’s still really nice for now.

I’ll give it 3 stars for not having these other features.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We have had suggestions about the automatic stimulation of the dog when they come upon the Geo-Fence. Our main reason this has not been part of the application is for the safety of the dog, since he may react very poorly and run in the wrong direction. We will try to look for other options when it comes to this suggestion. As far as the vibration option, we will look into adding this to a new version of the Pathfinder. Your last request, has been implemented during our last update with a Mobile Fence, so hopefully this update solves this request.

Great product!

I love my new Dogtra Pathfinder. I have been using it heavily for the past month and it works great. I would give it 5 stars if they added the ability to auto-correct a dog so they don’t exit the geofence, if they made it so you could vibrate the collar, and if you could use the GPS connector to do manual correction of tone, vibrate, and shock.

Great Simple to use and learn! Gps Collar

Have used for a Year now, had a 2500 T&B dogtra for my Ridgeback hound "very happy with it also" and wanted to get one with Gps, this one came out at the time, and was the more compact unit! Phone interface was easy to learn, dose take a little getting used to, having screen instead of physical buttons but nothing major, reasonable Priced. . . You will b pleased with this Gps collar! Just took him bird hunting with it this Nov! Sweet sweet sweet! Has also assisted in stopping "Hounding" five mile Jaunts to see his girlfriends! Geo Fence! Need i say more?

Almost perfect

As the person above me said an alert when the dog goes outside of geo fence would be great.

I personally wish that when you looked at history you could see the dogs speed like you can on a Garmon system.
