RCX does not take care of employees
RCX asks employees to help them out in other states but they took away the perdiem ($25/day) January 1, 2022 and will tell you, we added $3/hour for you! First of all, because it’s attached to your paycheck, it’s taxed so it’s actually only $2/hour and you have to wait 2 weeks to get it but you can’t wait 2 weeks to eat! Here’s the kicker, if you don’t go out for days, it’s $0 but you still have to eat and I can guarantee you that they don’t care about your bills you can’t pay with that $0 and won’t pay them for you! I’m currently in New Mexico and when I asked to go home because I have not been out in days and Tim told no! If I decide to go home anyway, they will fire me for job abandonment! So, they asked me to help them but will not take care of me while I’m here and will let me sit in the motel room broke, like a hostage! Don’t do barrow outs, it’s not worth it!

App constantly crashes
This is a necessary app for employees, so it needs to be reliable. I can’t use it on my iPhone as it currently crashes after being open for about 4-5 seconds.
Changes that could be made
I have an iPhone and this app is nothing like the android version of itself. I can’t navigate straight from the app. Some of my location vans don’t have the navigating android in it, so I have to use my own personal phone. From the vans’ androids, they can navigate, push the submit button on the top of the screen, and it doesn’t start in a zoomed in. The buttons on the bottom are always out of clicking range. I also think their should be a back button in case drivers tap on the wrong thing.

Works but desperately needs improvement
All current employees of Rail Crew Xpress have to use this app to accurately report their time, but this app could use some major upgrades.
1. “Go on rest” needs to be made a separate option that isn’t tied to the end of a trip. Example of how the current system works is flawed. If you finish a trip and you have between 8-6 hours left of on-duty time, you are encouraged to not put yourself on rest. If you don’t receive a call within that timeframe, then you have to contact your manager to put you on rest. It would be more convenient to have the option to go on rest yourself anytime while not on a trip.
2. App needs an option to back out of menus. This applies to accidental clicks of wait stop options.
3. Needs better tracking of vans. When I arrive at the yard and the app suggests that I use a certain van but it is either taken or out of service, I have to use a different van. While the app has the option to switch vans if the one it assigns is unavailable, it doesn’t provide the status of other vans, so the one you may choose could be out is service.
I hope the developers of this app will take these into consideration and make the changes to make this app more user friendly.

Constantly Crashes
It crashes on me at least once or twice per shift.

It is demanded that we use this. It is very crude and buggy. Sometimes it hangs up so badly you must reboot your phone. Sometimes only deleting and reinstalling the app works. It is also very slow to update.
