FAR Vision brings a voice to the physical world for the blind and visually impaired, or anybody that needs helpful reminders about their location or environment. Use FAR Vision to navigate to FAR Accessible partner locations easily. FAR Vision provides much more accurate location information than GPS alone and even works indoors. Once at a FAR Accessible location, FAR Vision will help you get oriented in the location by describing where points of interest are located so you can create a mental map of the location helping you navigate the location with or without technology. You can get descriptive information such as menus, locations of elevators, hazards, audio signage, or any other information configured for that location. FAR Vision can also help you locate a public transportation stop, provide the schedule for the routes at that stop, and even give you live arrival times. Available on supported systems. FAR Vision builds upon your already existing mobility skills to create a more independent and enjoyable environment without creating a dependency on technology for navigation. FAR Vision now supports personal beacons. Purchase your own beacon at our website (http://www.foresightar.com) and take it when you go out or when you travel. FAR Vision was designed by a team of developers that includes our visually impaired co-founder who has 16 years of experience working with a variety of visual impairments at the Emory Eye Center at Emory University as a Physician Assistant.
