Terrible
Just so bad if it was possible it would get zero stars, it should be removed from all schools. Inconsistent and only updates from time to time constantly leaving parents thinking their kids have not done their work. For kids, work that will not open or opens only part of the information leaving them frustrated and upset they cannot do their work. Someone pls ban this terrible business from making money for our kids!Show lessboshful
Good or….
At first firefly was great. It was a great way to keep track of homework and to check my lessons.
But when i click on the homework i want to check. i can’t see what it is, its just blank.
I’m not sure if this what is supposed to happen, but it is very hard to check homework when i don’t have my laptop or anything else to check it with.Show lessTruthful reviews 😀
I feel this app should be changed/ repurposed
Seeing people saying kids are “mad they didn’t do their homework” is frustrating. We are not mad, we are depressed, anxious and stressed out. Did you know kids now a days have the same levels of anxiety as an insane asylum patient from the 1950s? Homework in itself I believe is a silly concept, why should we be forced to take time of our own to hand in homework when we spend 6 hours a day locked in a building where we are constantly learning for five days a week? I believe in the position this website is in it should at least be doing more about kids mental health. The influence you could have over schools is so powerful, you could repurpose this app into simply a schedule planner and behaviour point tracker and market it more in the mental health area. You could help your children to have more colour in their lives. As a 15 year old girl I should not be depressed, socially anxious and constantly stressed out. Ask yourself, why are we exposing maturity to children at such a young age, and what can you do to stop it?Show less-havana-
Firefly
Firefly is good but takes a long time to load and you cannot see your timetable for the next few weeks because it doesn’t have it synced to the app tasks take ages to load up and sometimes don’t even show up leading to trouble for kids who can’t do their homework messages also take ages to come up and have to put your password in to them which is pointless because if you’re on the app already, you shouldn’t really need to put your password inShow lessGood buses!!

The UI could be more updated!
There’s a small bug: when you receive a notification and click into it, it shows a popup with the option “view”. It usually takes a few seconds for the task to show upNickna.me
Use the website instead!!
I use firefly for school to check my tasks etc. But the app is really slow at loading tasks compared to the firefly website. The only thing I use this app for now is for checking my timetable. Other than that, it is useless! If you get a task notification and you click it, it will just take you to the main page and then you have to look through all the tasks to find it. It takes the same amount of time to load a task as it does to log into the website. Very disappointed as this is supposed to be a functional app for schools. What is functionality?
This app could have been a great organisational solution for schools to coordinate between students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Where other competitors have managed to integrate communication and more, firefly has become a nonfunctional mess of bugs, that occasionally works until the development team come up with another app breaking feature.
At least 5 years ago I could view my timetable and tasks on it; I even gave it a good rating of 4/5. Now the timetable is permanently stuck between days thanks to the new sliding animation, the tasks never load, and documents will not open. It’s at the point where I straight up don’t bother to check my tasks most of the time due to the sheer difficulty of it, which is problematic for my teachers when I miss homework and recommendations.Show lessKokonut Kidz
The negatives of having websites like this in a child’s environment.
I’m 14, im in year 10 and I go to a high school which uses this app for pretty much all of its ‘tasks’.
The unwanted stress off tasks piling up on kids can be really devastating and especially towards kids who are frequently absent or have anxious emotions towards being confronted by teachers for not completing tasks either alone or in front of 30 other kids with their eyes blazing into your soul and tearing the will to live out of your prepubescent mind. Apps like this take away children’s independence without them even knowing it’s like living with a parasite. You look at your phone everyday and it tells you what you have to do for the next 1-5 hours (for some kids) it’s always monitoring you and sucking your brain cells out each day. I can’t be bothered to type anymore. I wish I was never born into this dopamine suckling cellphone world, it’s pants mate. Great app, really useful for homework
Saw lots of joke negative reviews for this app and felt sorry for the developers who get all this when they are really working hard and doing a good job.
The app is great, good for my organisation as a student, well made, a few bugs but they all get ironed out quickly in each release.
