Description of Qute
Qute is the mobile companion of Qi for Movement Control of collection objects and adding content. Qi is the web-based, SPECTRUM compliant, Universal Content and Collections Management System for Museums, Archives, Libraries, Performing Art and other cultural organisations.
With Qute you can scan a barcode or enter an accession number, in order to lookup essential object information and find out the current location of any object in your collection.
You can then enter a new location from your location authority (queried in real time) directly on your iPhone or iPad and save a draft movement to Qi, for later review and approval once back at your desk.
Qute dramatically speeds up your collection management movement control, by just letting you walk around your collection with your iPhone/iPad and create movement records as you go.
This is just the beginning for Qute. Future releases will add Condition Checking and Conservation Reporting, which you will be able to carry out directly on your iPhone/iPad.
