  • Pathetic

I could not find a better word to describe this app. The ‘only’ positive thing I have to say is that the HW design of the product is very nice, form is great. The software: instructions are wrong, app looks tragic, is unstable, sloppy and crashes often, some key features are missing, integration with HomeKit is a shot in the dark. Unfortunately This product is the best of a awful bunch (the bunch is made only one other alternative but I have read very bad reviews about it on Amazon). So, not much choice unfortunately. Have tried the CO sensor and it seems to work, despite it took a while to trigger an alarm. Will see how it performs working the return window and decide what to do.

  • Bad app

I bought figuring fluid sensor. I don’t need your app control my home. Get it out. I need just sensor in my HomeKit app. You not important. I don’t want see you in my home. Only sensor. I don’t recommend buy any your products and install app.
  • Firmware 1.20 has destroyed battery life

The App itself is working fine, however the Firmware update (1.20) they have pushed out for the the HomeKit Door/Window Sensors has destroyed battery life readings in the Apple Home App and in this App as well. Each 3.6V Eve battery was removed from each Door/Window Sensor and tested with a Multimeter. They are all reading 100% but when placing them back in the Door/Window Sensors they will read 65% and the next day ready 85%. Absolutely rediculos, as Firmware 1.10 worked beautifully. They need to fix this.

To answer the Developers question as to “is it better with the version 1.9.2 version?” The answer is a resounding NO! Did you even read my initial review? It’s been well over a year since your team had updated the FIRMWARE of the Door/Window Sensor, and NO the battery life readings are STILL all over the place and never are correct, and your Door/Window sensors completely kill battery life with little to no time at all with Firmware 1.20. Luckily I only use them for Open/Close sensors, and could care less about the temperature readings..temperature readings are accurate at times for the Door/Window Sensors, but after reading other users issues with the built in temperature sensor, this probably needs addressed as well in a Firmware update too. So no, I will not change my rating of the App, because Fibaro needs to address all of its users initial concerns, including this one.

In response to contacting your support team, I have already done that, and spoke to a Fibaro Engineer over a year ago now. That definately didn’t resolve anything as he just thought he was correct and I was wrong and wouldn’t really listen to what I was saying. I have a Fibaro Door/Window Sensor on every door and window in my home and they all respond this way on Firmware 1.20, so no I’m not going to contact support again because logically thinking if the issue is effecting all of my devices, not just one, it’s 100% firmware related. it’s definately not worth the trouble of taking them all down and exchanging. I’ll just wait until you finally discover it’s actually an issue and push a firmware update. Thanks.

Today, The Home App now shows that there is an update(s) to all of my Fibaro HomeKit enabled devices and to download the Fibaro Home App to update. Downloaded the Fibaro Home App, and as it turns out all of my Fibaro devices are up to date with current Firmware according to your App? Are you in the process of pushing our new Firmware to your HomeKit devices?

    Please advise?

  • Great app & hardware!!

However the app logo of the house is very childish & cartoon like so a more professional one or the option to choose one would be great!!

Thank you for your opinion. Your suggestion will be forwarded to the appropriate department to have essential visual changes introduced in the future. Regards, FIBARO Team.
  • Notofication

Aside from homekit - where is the notification level a flood sensor should have via phone? SMS, alerts etc. deposing on the one homekit notification isn’t urgent enough.

    Also doesn’t work with IFTTT

    Developer Response

Thank you for the review. The notifications available in the HomeKit platform are described here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208939 - note that HomeKit is a platform created by Apple and we cannot provide solutions that Apple does not certify. The same case is with IFTTT. If Apple certifies the integration with IFTTT then it will be possible to use this service with HomeKit. Is there anything you would like to report about the app itself? We care about users' feedback. Regards, FIBARO Team
  • Temperature not automatically updated

The temperature is always wrong. The only way to see the actual temperature. Is to open the app settings in HomeKit to manually wake the sensor. To update the reading to the current temperature. They claim it updates every 10 minutes, but it will show the wrong temperature all day unless long press the tile in HomeKit.

Thank you for the review. What sensor do you use for temperature measurement? Did you contact our Support regarding the issue? Regards, FIBARO Team
  • Ignore the ‘homely’ design - the app’s a solid companion to invisible HomeKit devices

5* from me, as this app is really only needed once (at least for me) to setup a load of Fibaro’s HomeKit single switches.

App is aesthetically challenging, but actually very intuitive, and does exactly what you need - setup the devices, and expose them into HomeKit/ Home with zero hassle.

The Switches are fantastic btw - I have a mix of Hue lights, and use Switches to control fixed LEDs. Flawless so far.

  • Products work great with HomeKit

I have well over 50 devices controlled via HomeKit. I like Fibaro’s products and app, they work seamlessly together. I have the door switch that controls my outside lights. I also have the motion detector outside under my eves that flips on lights and sends a notification when I’m away from the home when it senses movement.

  • Worthless

    1) Setup of device on app is far too complex for such a simple device (Flood Sensor in this case)
    2) Temperature the device/app senses is way off
    3) Alarm on the device isn’t loud enough to be heard unless you happen to be in the same room
    4) When tested, the Flood Sensor itself beeps but nothing NOTIFIES ME ON MY PHONE which is the entire point of the Flood Sensor. Phone is on, up-to-date iOS, Fibaro app is running, HomeKit app is running. Nothing bothers to notify me of the Flood. Worthless!

Save your money and buy a simple audible alarm.

    1) We're constantly working on simplifying the use of our devices. Thank you for your opinion. 2) The device measures the temperature every 10min and only reports it if it''s changed by at least one degree. That may be the reason that you feel it's off. 3) Thank you for that suggestion, we're look into it. 4) Here's a guide on enabling notifications in HomeKit https://manuals.fibaro.com/knowledge-base-browse/enabling-notifications-from-your-homekit-accessories/ If that solves your problems, would you like to review your rating? Regards, FIBARO Team
  • Hmm... lacking something

Please add the ability to use the temperature as an automation sensor (trigger) in homekit app.

    Developer Response

Thank you for the review. Our app offers this kind of trigger. It may depends on what device you are using. Our Motion Sensor can be used this way. Regards, FIBARO Team
