Can’t disable guides??
Am I missing something here? I have all references to aim lines etc in the settings menu switched to ‘off’ and yet they persist? I’ve been playing this game on PC for several years and don’t need the aim lines (in fact they’re a hindrance). It seems ridiculous that an option to disable them isn’t there. Also, in the PC version all the HUD clutter can be turned off. Would love to see that option included somehow.
Other than those gripes this is a solid simulation and faithful to the PC version in many ways.

Exactly what I wanted
It took me a while searching the App Store to find a pool game I could settle into. All I really wanted was an old fashioned experience without all of the assistance, like aim assistance or ball trajectories, and without the game things.
This has what I wanted, and more. The Graphics and control are excellent.
I can turn off the assistance features and, if I want to, I can play solo or against an ai opponent. There’s also a couple different career modes. For free, there’s a lot to have fun with.
I gave it 4 stars instead of five because when I first started the app it halted and wouldn’t proceed. I thought it crashed, but it eventually entered the title screen. Haven’t had any problems since.

Mega realistic
This is a superbly realistic simulation with loads of games to choose from, even snooker, which is a whole different ball game...
Back in the day I bought Virtual Pool for the PC and it was fantastic. This complete app costs a fraction of the original PC game but has all the features and more.
I don't normally submit reviews but felt compelled to here after seeing this take such an undeserved pasting from negative reviewers.
Ignore the one-star ratings, these are clearly just people looking for a quick blast, not a solid simulation.

The BEST!!!!
Hands down the best 3D pool game around.
Celeris did an incredible job on this game.
Only advice I would give is to practice your shot control with cue ball. If you just aim and shoot you will probably be scratching a lot. Many negative reviews state that this is why they don’t play. Even in real pool this ability to control your cue ball after the initial strike is what separates beginners from seasoned players. I’ve gotten much better at this game and rarely scratch as a result of practicing cue ball control.
They have made a great game that in my opinion is far more realistic than any other. If you like pool and want an app to be as close to the real thing as possible then you need to download this game. It’s awesome!!!

Excellent port to iOS
Love this game on the PC and was impressed to find a great port on here. My only gripe is that I can’t listen to music or podcasts while playing. Online play would be great too.
Took my money for the full game package
Paid for the full hame package. Says everything is installed, but will only let me play 6 ball. No way I can get my money back that I can find. Beware! Obviously, I would give this a minus 5 stars.
don’t
bother unless you can play pool. it’s not a stupid little minigame. it’s a high end sim. as such it’s the only one out there that’s worth the trouble.
Impossible to designate a ball
Sure, the physics are good and everything, but it lacks refinement in other areas. I paid to unlock every game, but in reality they cannot all be payed and that is more than a little disappointing.
For example designating a ball when playing snooker is impossible at times, and that ironically perhaps, was one of the main games I wanted to play.

Great game
Cool game, good action, I just can’t figure out how to use the cue sticks I purchased. I can toggle between the jump cue easily, but I cant figure out how to use my break cue and playing cue. When I’m taking a shot, the cue stick looks like it’s always the house cue.
Great game though and a lot of fun.
