They make you pay to do collaborations!
They banned me after I messaged them to let them know I was posting for unorganized offers and collaborations.
What’s the point of advertising if I’m just going to pay out of pocket. it’s ridiculous. This app doesn’t know how brand deals actually work. I’ve been doing content creation for 10 years and if I’m doing a whole video review for you why am I paying for services? I’m not even getting paid. Such a scam. I went to the gym one time and I had a membership for a month after a week they told me my membership was no longer valid because they weren’t working with the app anymore.
no notifications or update. Then another time they had the wrong address for a restaurant and I ended up paying. This app is just a headache. I’m better off getting brand deals on my own.
They seriously need to rebrand and be more transparent about the brands they are working with. I noticed so many brands stopped working with them because of it.
It’s embarrassing.

I love NEON COAT
NEON COAT has been one of my favorite and most used apps in the last five years so thankful that something like this exist. I hope they are around forever. Love Eyeoccupy_
Error message
The app has been saying that it can’t connect to Instagram for the past several months. I’ve reached out to neon coat and no response. I’m not sure how to proceed now. Hopefully there is a way to fix the glitch.
life-changing app & forever grateful 💗
I discovered this app during fashion week last season and let’s just say, I’m OBSESSED!
So many amazing offers (sometimes private parties) and they’re always adding new restaurants and businesses so you never get bored :) as a model (and a foodie hehe) living in nyc, this app has helped me save so much money and gave me the opportunities to enjoy the city more 💖 thank you neon coat!!

Glitchy
Great app when it works. But mine just stopped working. Keeps saying it can’t connect to my Instagram when it’s been connected for years. The staff seem super nice and are trying to help but it just isn’t working.
:(
super sad because I got approved, i’m from california but I don’t live in LA or New York so I can’t go to the places
Easy interface and legit model app
You don’t have to worry about hassling for deals because of the claiming system. The support team is also very responsive. I’ve truly gotten to enjoy the city more with this app
Amazing
I never write reviews but I love this app, thank you so much.
Options
LOVE the app it’s super easy to use and I love trying out new places in exchange for posts. However, in LA there are only 2 businesses actively using the app. In New York, sure there are beauty and spa offers but not even one in Los Angeles. They need to get more businesses on board in LA if they want to compete with Beauty Pass and INTO

Agency Representation Not Enough
I had read about neon coat and heard about it from another model. What it read lead me to believe it was for models wanting to take the reigns on their own careers and to hold some control and power over their work.
I believed being represented by a modelling agency and having subsequent comp cards would be enough to qualify. Again thinking the platform was designed to help models.
However I was disappointed to learn that even though I am fully signed, represented, have shot with several well known photographers and worked 5 fully paid contracts (small but not nothing). I was declined because important parameters not met were (and I quote)
‘ parameters for approval:
- Instagram followers + engagement
- professional modelling work’
For reference I have 6500 followers and an ER of 10%.
Additionally the platform stated it wanted official models and not influencers, and yet it uses influencer metrics to evaluate applications?¿
Safe to say just very disappointed as I find the way Neon Coat portrays itself isn’t perhaps entirely true to their actual intention.
I’m sure if you are already a well established model with hundreds of thousands of followers and regular work you’d get approved, but then I ask what the heck would be the point of the app? Consider me confused.
