MUST add OBVIOUS disclaimer/filter for age restricted/elderly only sites!!!

Living in Florida and frequently using this with a premium subscription to find campgrounds for my family. Unfortunately NEARLY EVERYTHING is restricted to old elderly people, or adults only, but I haven’t seen a single listing with ANY mention of age restrictions. Nor is there any way to hide the campgrounds that require all members of the party to be over 18, 21, 55, 65. This might be more of a problem in Florida than in other states, but this is such a HUGE problem in this large state with TONS of campgrounds, that it’s making this app and the premium subscription virtually useless. Seriously The Dyrt, do better! Age restrictions MUST be part of every listing, emblazoned directly below the name so that it cannot be missed, and we must be able to filter searches by age of guests in the party!

Horrible customer service

We are full time travelers and was recommended this app by others in our community. We booked a campsite. And then a few days later life happened and we had to cancel because we weren’t going to be able to make it to that specific location. I filled out a form and also let my host know. The host was wonderful and very kind, helpful and understanding. I waited a few days and didn’t hear back from customer service at Dyrt. Sent an email this time. About 3 days later still didn’t hear back. And this goes on and on for well over a week. I understand that they are busy and I’m sure they have a lot of requests to acknowledge. But when there is no phone number available and time is of the essence you would think they’d be able to respond to an email or cancellation request within a weeks time. Even my host reached out to them on my behalf without response. It was beyond frustrating and for this reason we canceled our PRO membership and won’t be using them again.

Pro experience left some to be desired, but customer support was incredibly helpful

I tried the trial of the premium, which I believed was canceled but received a charge for the subscription. I used the trial to get more info on free camping spots nearby, but found almost every one listed in my area was on private property or still required a fee. I believed that the trial was canceled and deleted the app, only to see a charge a week later.

Major shoutout to the support staff for the app. Even with my less than perfect experience with the renewal, support helped me get a refund for the subscription. Even though I didn’t feel that premium was worth the cost, the helpful and polite response I received from customer support makes me more likely to consider it in the future.

Terrible app terrible support

The app was of no use to us despite buying the pro version. We then cancelled the subscription. It says in our app we have cancelled, but we still got charged for the next year despite unsubscribing. Support has been painfully slow and will still not confirm our subscription status. Support claims only Apple can help and there is no purchase of the app via our Apple account. We are stuck paying for a useless app we can’t unsubscribe from!!

The dyrt will take out the yearly subscription even if you cancel on through the Apple App Store

I cancelled my DYRT free trail & subscription within the app. However, I just got a fee for a yearly subscription. I logged in online and turned off auto renew. But I had already actioned that on my last day before the trial ended.

I live in Australia and have no use for this app is it’s not compatible with Aus.

I cancelled my account within the app, to find out DYRT is sneaky and you have to login online and try to find cancel subscription option (not easy to find might I add)

Not happy at all with this app, the support team and this whole process.

It’s a potential scam be careful.

The APP is awful, very clunky and not intuitive at all. Cancelled my subscription in the trial period and they still took my money. No way of contacting anyone. It’s not even showing as a subscription in the AppStore. Currently raising a fraud alert with Apple.

If you’re like me, you may find yourself asking “can I possibly be any more disgusted by capitalism than I already am?” on a daily basis. And thanks to apps like this, the answer is always, unfortunately, yes. You cannot view free campsites near you without paying for the “pro” version of the app. Yes, you heard correctly. You cannot view FREE CAMPSITES without paying this app. Are developers ever going to realize that the market is beyond saturated with money grubbers begging you to “premium subscription this” and “pro version that” all for BASIC FEATURES that I’m sure NO ONE had to pay for only a few short years ago. If you want to put premium features behind a paywall, that’s one thing. Trying to make a quick buck by putting the most basic fundamentals of your app behind one? Yeah, no thanks. I’m not buying what you’re selling and other people should really do without as well. ENOUGH OF THIS ALREADY!

Annoying app

Every time I’d leave the app for another app (like google to check out the campground area), when I would return to the app, it would say I was offline and then I would lose where I was. For instance, I was about to reserve a site through the app, but checked on the campgrounds website to see if there were any specific check in rules, and when I went back to the app I lost all the progress. I had already entered my name, address, all my info besides cc information. I found it incredibly irritating because I cross referenced many of the campgrounds on google to make sure it fit what I was looking for, and this was a problem every time. Ultimately deleted the app cause it was easier to just use google. I did give it 2 stars because it did do its purpose of showing campgrounds in the area I was looking for, but was way too annoying to be useful.

Another useless app

It’s a bit tedious to look for camping sites on Google Maps but at least locations are there. Not in this app.
