Only audio
This app is only useful if you buy one of their books and want to know how to pronounce words correctly. It's like a complement to the book that you only get by scanning the barcode. Idk what happened to the others, but I had no problem with scanning and it took me like 2sec.Ririsalilisa
Helpful for pronunciation and memorization
I didn’t have any problems downloading the Italian version. It allows you to hear the native Italian pronunciation, which is important for the letter z (can be pronounced ts or dz) and which syllable is accented (no consistent rules in Italian). That said, it would be nice if the book itself made the pronunciation/ accent clear so you didn’t have to look all of them up (ie note ts/ dz and accents).
I also use it to help memorize the words in a list after I look at the pictures in the book. I do agree it would help to look up words and not just pages.Show lessktaffe
Great complimentary app
The is a great addition to the book. Being able to understand the pronunciation is of course key to learning a language. Thanks!
A suggestion from me would to add keyword search in the app (like an index in the book) for those moments you get stuck trying remember the translation of a native word.Mknight1701

Possible answer to no sound?
Had Bluetooth enabled and connected to stereo system that was not turned on!

Why is app even available for download?
Useless app. Barcode scanner doesn’t work so I can’t even download my purchases into the application.langstu78
Improvements
For Japanese, please add “sort by romaji”, as sorting by Japanese characters makes it even harder to look up for non-native speakers.Yunhuhu
Can’t Download Audio

Garbage
App does not scan the barcode of your book. It lets you type it in manually , however that does not work either . Could be a good app if it was actually useful.chachistar
Very nice to hear the correct pronunciations
We just bought the German and Italian versions. The audio app was very difficult to find in the App Store since the book doesn’t tell you the actual name of the app to search for.
After finding the app, downloaded, installed, and unlocking it, it works great.
The only complaint is that in order to use the app, we have to have the book handy, since the only search option is via page number, not by words. Yes, the book does state that the search is by page number, but if I could look up words, it would be much more useful, especially while traveling.Show lessbi-jc
