  • Definitely needs work

This is awesome... it definitely needs the low bandwidth option to be available like the camera app if that is even possible. Did a time test. It is well with in one second loss from watching a timer.
It is a great start, hopefully with some time it can get better.

For notes we have a ruckus network that we have streamed NDI over to a compute stick on. We know our network can handle it. I think it has something to do with the iPad. I’m using a mini, will try to try it on a 9.7 pro later

Hi Ekimnosredna. Thanks for your positive comments. Note that you can control Hi Bandwidth (or low bandwidth), as well as HiDPI modes in the Systems Settings for NDI Monitor. On the sort of wifi network required for this app - you should see latency of only a few frames. If you are seeing as much as a second - then you network or your device are probably struggling and you may want to reconfigure.
  • Awful!

Doesn’t work! I want my money back. Works for like 20 seconds most then crashes. No good. Waste of money

Hi Weird guy2222134456 - More than likely the app is not crashing but is being shut down by iOS because its stuck on the network connection. This may suggest that your WIFI network is not delivering the performance required by this app. I suggest you try with a lightning to ethernet adaptor to exclude wifi as the issue. Please contact us at support for any further help.
  • Source appears as option, but screen just blank

The app picks up the obs ndi signal but doesn't display anything on an iphone 8 plus. No video or audio received

    Developer Response

Hi Mass behaviour. Perhaps your sources are NDI 4 ? As per the description, NDI Monitor 1.x supports NDI v3.82 or earlier. A new update to support NDI 4 has just been released.
  • NDI Monitor.

Works on video but no audio on iPhone 10s

    Developer Response

Hi AB VIDEO Audio should work just fine on iPhone 10s. Please contact our support for assistance. http://www.sienna-tv.com/newsite/contact.html
  • Great start

I’ve been waiting a long time for this app. Works decent but WIFI must be perfect to keep it stable and the app crashes at random. Can’t wait to see improvements in the future

  • Does as it says

This is a great app to use around a production. We use it with vMix and as a tiny confidence monitor on our Lecturn.

It would be great if there were options to force 16:9 on iPads and if there was some guidance on iPad/phone models required to decode particular resolutions/frame rates.

    Developer Response

Hi TiredDad Thanks for your comments ! As you may have discovered by now, version 1.03 introduces the feature you requested to support 16x9 on iPads.
  • Great utility for general troubleshooting

This app works well for the basic task of checking content and availability of NDI sources. You do need a decent WiFi or wired ethernet connection for smooth results. An excellent addition to any NDI toolkit.
  • Lags and stalls

I was excited to be able to monitor my NDI streams on my phone. Very disappointed. Managed network with lots of bandwidth, iPhone XS Max and the stream can stall for 30s or more. Introductory price should have been free!

    Developer Response

Hi Renod Renod. If you are having problems with image stalling - it really is very likely to be due to your WIFI not delivering the required smooth performance. I suggest you give it a try with a lighting to ethernet adaptor - and I suspect you will see a transformation of performance and see that the problem is not with the app itself but with the environment.
