Great scanning app with all the features

Everything you need from a PDF scan app. Every time I wish there was another feature - I realize it already exists within Adobe Scan. Adobe at its best!

Nice app but needs to improve camera choice

At first, I love this app. It helped send good quality pictures, I use it for online tuitions and send my work directly through a PDF. It flashed automatically and auto edits the picture better. However a few months ago, I had to take a picture of a couple pages of my work for tuition. The camera lens automatically went to 0.5x mode?? I have an iphone 11 so I have two cameras. I had the normal one because it obviously has good quality but the 0.5x is too zoomed out and blurry when I take the pictures and I can't even take the pictures properly even when being still. Even if I zoom in its still blurry and before I had the normal camera on the app which is a bit odd. I've been researching trying to change the camera lens back if there was an option but theres nothing. Overall good app but I can't even take good quality pictures anymore.

The most useful I have

It’s very useful for school the school has other iPads with it but they get taken so downloading it made it easier because I don’t have to wait to get the iPads since a lot of people needed it to scan there book

Adobe is a bad company that squeezes every cent they can get from customers from subscription fees. Not a good app anyways.

Such an important tool

I was advised to use it by my close friend and been so happy with this app since. It’s easy to use, not full of ads and can save documents in pdf or jpg formats and send via email, messengers, etc.

Excellent App

I’m an amateur musician and use Adobe Scan to transfer the printed sheet music our conductor hands out onto my iPad where I use another excellent App, Fourscore, to play from. Adobe Scan is brilliant for this - good clear pdfs in more or less any light and easy to clean up edges, make multiple page files, transfer to my cloud service. I can then always find pieces immediately and can write instructions etc on them but still hand the music back in pristine condition. A pleasure to use!

Useful app, Shane the premium version is too expensive for casual usage

This app does a nice job creating scans of documents. I use it to make pdfs of those simple instruction manuals that come with many electrical devices that mostly you don’t need aside from maybe one detail you know you’ll forget and then lose a function. This app does this well enough. Downsides are that when it takes a photo of a page, you can’t easily zoom in to check the focus. You can tweak the page edges but you need to keep going for multiple pages or you can’t stitch them together as one doc. Which is where it’s frustrating, because useful extra features (like merge) cost a silly amount for casual use. It is Adobe so of course it ain’t cheap but they surely could come up with a usage fee to tap into this market. Maybe ten uses per month or something. As it is, I’ll share to my computer (which I do anyway) and stitch pages together there when I need to with the free Mac app that does this.

Advertising Not Wanted-Fixed Dec 13th 2023

This has now been fixed, thankfully. However they have not fixed it on Acrobat as yet and there is no indication they are looking to fix that as far as I can see, so buyer beware!

For users who pay for this app via an Adobe subscription there should not be an auto embedded advertisement for Adobe Scan when you send a scan by email. You only have to go on the Adobe Community pages to see how many Adobe users are very upset by this. It is a cheap trick and if the Adobe employees are to be believed who have responded to the comments on the forum, Adobe is aware of this and is working to remove this as it was not something that was done intentionally. However they have been working on removing it for months now! My recommendation is if you pay for Adobe, that you find another scan app unless you want an ad for Adobe in every email scan you send! Poor form Adobe!
