Reminds me a lot of flash HOPs from the 2010s, one of the closest apps I’ve found to them but unfortunately full of ads, micro transactions and predatory marketing which makes the experience completely unbearable. Every time you open the app (daily) it prompts you to buy a micro transaction, then uses predatory language like “miss out” instead of decline or no thanks or something similar. The tutorial requires you to watch an ad which I refuse to do. Buildings often take hours to finish building, requiring currency to speed it. It feels like both a spit in the face and the app devs not thinking my time is meaningful. I know every app is like that these days but I will not take it lying down, apps shouldn’t be doing it in the first place. Micro transactions specifically are predatory as they often feel much like a gambling addiction to the brain, the game industry even refers to them as “whales” and intends us to become complacent and fall for the micro transaction trap.
