More of a ‘Group’ game than a singular player game.

I honestly loved this game back when I found it in September 2021, but since then, it has become more of a tedious endeavor to even play. Apparently, Wooga is just for the money and they don’t care about their players. I am at level 1288 and I am disappointed and disgusted with the way the June’s Journey is being run lately. It is only catering to the teams that Wooga has built. Individual folks like me are receiving the short end of the stick when it comes to playing this game. They have different side games inside the main game and the worse one is The Travels Game unless you are in a Detectives League with players that play well together. I have been in my ‘league’ since September 2021 and there are no players in it. They either quit or died. There is just me and I have contacted Wooga about this to no avail. The Travels game last 7 days and they just finished a Travels game and turned around and started another Travels game. Mind you….unless you are in a Detective’s League with ‘actual’ players that play….you can’t play. During the last Travels, there weren’t many side games for individuals to play unless you want to spend a good amount of $$$ to advance. Like I said, I loved this game at the beginning, but now, it is monotonous because you get to replay the same scene over and over in order to advance or spend a lot of money to get ahead. Boring!!!

Overkill on club mystery

I have enjoyed this game since it’s beginning. Unfortunately Wooga is becoming excessively greedy… more compasses needed, Club Mysteries one after another and a ridiculous amount of badges needed to play it. This game has always been 5 star for me but this greediness is killing it. Plenty of FB group pages show me I’m not the only one who thinks this. Unless it improves I can see me pushing delete.

Variety without massive spend

I’ve been playing Junes Journey for over three years now and intend to continue for the foreseeable future. The games vary and the additional competitions offer different formats without additional expense. I find the decoration part of the game satisfies my artistic senses while the memory work keeps my aging brain active. There are in-game purchases that will assist you but you can continue to play without spending anything, or very little. There are team challenges and communication between team-mates, overall I find Junes Journey extremely enjoyable and totally affordable. I have not found another game that I have continued for more that a few months.

Such a shame

I’ve been playing this and for years, I have always enjoyed it as my life stress relief. Unfortunately with all the changes in the game over the last few months, it is becoming more of a life stress itself. Lots more side games which wooga are gradually including in the help wanted tasks which feels like they are trying to force play of , basically trying to put pressure on to try to persuade parting with real cash! I have had to change the way I play and have now accepted that I can’t complete as many tasks as I would like and can’t win all the prizes, that’s the only way I can take the wooga pressure off. Unfortunately for wooga, their aim to secure more money from me has backfired, I now don’t spend any real money on the game. If it means I don’t get all the prizes, well so be it! I want a relaxing game, not a money grabbing pressured game. Sadly I now wouldn’t recommend downloading the game.

Thanks for your response Wooga. I did send you feedback a few months ago and got the same standard reply that other players got. Since my feedback you have increased the side games in the Help wanted tasks. As I said in my review, this is what is causing the problem.

Used to be fun

I’ve been playing for over 5 years. It used to be fun, now it seems those who are behind the scenes have become greed driven. Ridiculously charged decorations, awards have become lame and far and few between. The times on certain parts of the game are unfair and geared towards squeezing players to purchase diamonds to continue, otherwise you’ll lose your progress and have to start over because it’s almost impossible to finish in the time given! The only place you might win anything decent is the memoirs and they’ve cut back so much on issuing packs when you play, the odds are good you won’t finish and win anything. They’ve even ruined the competitions by cutting back the awards so much, nobody wants to play anymore, it’s a waste! And don’t reach out to them with a problem because it’s always your fault or your system! They almost NEVER take responsibility for anything! Half the time, they don’t even bother reading your entire message before they respond. The feedback part is a joke. Nothing ever changes or improves. The only improvements benefit the developers, not the players. If they give you anything, it doesn’t amount to much. It’s sad, this game used to be lots of fun, now like everything else, it’s overpriced and all about the money. They’ve forgotten the players importance! Oh, and it’s funny how the only reviews showing are the good ones. Believe me, they’re not all good! I guess they don’t want the truth out!

I have been playing JJ for 3 years now & in my view, it is one of the better games available, the story that unfolds is interesting due to it being set in the early 1900s & so you get some idea of what life was like then. It has mystery & each scene is about finding the objects which I really like as I am constantly striving to beat my own score, the prizes are worth playing for & there are side games to which help move the game along when needing diamonds, play money etc & you are not forced to spend money although I prefer to contribute every now & again. The decorating of the islands is great fun & they can be made to look really attractive if you only purchase what you need….with the play money, sell items when space becomes a real issue although that will put you in flower jail which I have been in many times but then it's fun getting back out again having bought more of what you really like. The downside to this game are the many awful adverts that you endure throughout showing other available games, Royal Match & others that depict women & children dumped out in the cold or characters facing a grisly death by being n fire or drowning is obscene & should be removed from JJ. There are lots of complaints on FB too relating to these obnoxious games. Other than that this is a game of pure enjoyment.

Nice game, but time consuming

I really enjoy playing this game after a favorite of mine unfortunately got shut down. Its a really cool way of exploring the early 1900s and learning about different items back then! My only con with the game is how long it takes to win certain items/games. So unless you’re not that into it and just playing it occasionally as a way to kill time, it can be tedious. Also, fair warning, play the game on a larger screen for better accuracy/visibility. I tried playing it on my iPhone and the colors are more blended together, making it much harder to find tinier objects that are either hiding behind big objects or the colors aren’t distinct enough to spot them. My iPad doesn’t have this color issue, hence why I play it on there instead. Otherwise another thing I’d advise would be make jewels more easy to win or earn through video ads. I almost ALWAYS end up flushing my jewels to get stupid hints on the harder puzzles in the game events, and most ways to earn them in the game are insultingly low (like 3-5) when I have other apps that aren’t nearly as difficult to win jewels without spending actual money
Otherwise its a good game and I really enjoy the memoirs game of learning different things

Use to be fun

Since the addition of Skips the fun has been sucked out of this game. This game is going overboard with trying to force microtransactions and it is no longer as enjoyable to play. I am also not able to commit to team play like I used to. I will have to look for a new game unless some changes are made with Skips.

I’ve been playing this game since its development

There are way too many great things I can say about JJ. I have been playing since year 1 so I have all 6 awards for playing since the 6th anniversary just took place. Speaking of anniversaries, there are always tons of giveaways especially around the JJ anniversary. Not many other games give you free prizes just for loving their game. This year the game actually had a real life murder mystery game you to could enter to participate in. They threw a party in Berlin for the anniversary and streamed it so players could watch. During the watch party we received more free gifts for our games. What other game do you know does all of this. I can’t think of a legitimate con to playing this game besides it’s addictive. the entire concept is you help June solve different mysteries while simultaneously building your land. The land you are building is not like other games where you fix up the property, no you actually buy monthly themed land marks and create your own islands. Once your island is built another island will become available. You get to be a designer, this month is October so we have a Halloween theme this month. It’s rad and you get to built your cemetery and other themed land marks in your town, each month it’s something new which keeps it exciting to see what’s next. If you play no other game Junes Journey is the ultimate game for all people of all ages, don’t delay download today.

Money grabbing

I have been playing this game for quite some time. It is disappointing to have two money grabbing events occurring at the same time ie an album and vault. I don’t mind spending $8.99 occasionally to complete the album but I am not prepared to spend that to open the vault as well. I feel that getting star packs and materials seem to have shrunk while earning stars to fill a vault.
