Much more reliable but still not automatic enough
Login and page archiving are much more reliable in this version than previous versions so far! However, it lack support for Safari extensions at least as the app still requires manual saving instead of like the desktop browser web add-ons and extensions. Please add Safari Extension support in the iOS app so archiving pages can be like desktop counterparts in Safari iOS browser. Won’t often go out of my way to save a page. Saving YouTube links from the YouTube app is problematic even when using manual copy and paste instead of the in-app Share function.Show lesselevtechlift
What?!?
Why in the world would I know the URL of exactly what I’m looking for, yet use the app? This seems a little ironic and backwards, yes? The actual website is much more user friendly, and it’d be nice if the app could be more search friendly. Just search for books, videos, music, etc. and be able to view or listen online. Not a complicated ask, but the Wayback app is just worthless.Show lessADB1982

Disappointing
Started scrolling and realized it has that god awful infinite scrolling. I started thinking, “great, I won’t be able to browse anything, I’ll surely lose my place and I hate websites like this.” Suddenly the search crashes and says there’s an error that I can’t refresh or fix. Just use numbered pages. I’ll know where I left off and your crappy app won’t crash.Show lessApple is incompetent

“May take a while”
As in “the rest of your day” type of while. Then, after it takes a while, I get a “failed” notification, at least that’s what it’s been doing lately.
Like most everyone else, I don’t quite understand the purpose of this app. I’m saving pages for the heck of it but don’t see how the app is supposed to help me enjoy them. In addition, it’s buggy.
You’d think that a great and essential website such as the archive, our main keepers of web history, would offer an app up to par with it but that’s not the case here at all.Show lessmadcopygirl
I thought it would be like the website… I was wrong
I downloaded this thinking it would be a quicker easy way to browse the archive. On the webpage it has categories you can browse and see whatever you’re interested in. Here you have to already know how to find what you’re looking for which doesn’t make a lot of senseEl.sea
Horrible
Doesn’t work. It only works on desktop. This app and the mobile version doesn’t work. I wish there was a way to read books on this app and on mobile that wasn’t so buggy and allowed you to put bookmarks on the correct page.HapaGirl92
