App is Broken
Sometime recently this app became broken. I have a year old iPad Pro, running the brand newest iOS; but this app won’t work properly anymore.
When I click to view a topic with new messages in it, I get the topic screen without any of the conversation in it. It just shows a bunch of lines, like it usually does while loading the conversation for a split second. But for me I get that screen with no content forever. I have to leave the topic, and then go back into it a second time for the app to load the conversation.
Additionally, if I type a message in the topic screen, it won’t show my new message to me. I have to leave the topic and re-enter the topic to see anything I typed in the topic. This is hard though, because once you leave the topic, the topic disappears from the list of unread topics.

We believe this issue is now fixed! Please update in the App Store to 26.14.137 (or later) and try it out, and let us know whether you're still having trouble. Thanks again for the report -- this was helpful for us in tracking the issue down and fixing it. --- (original response, 2019-11-06:) Thanks for this report! That is a bad bug. Yours is the second report we've heard of this issue, and it's helped us reproduce it and investigate. The issue appears to affect larger iPad models, including the iPad Pro (but not iPhone, or iPad mini.) We're continuing to investigate, and we'll be sure to let you know when we have a solution. Sorry the app hasn't been working for you, and thanks again for letting us know.
Great App
My only complaint is the lack of GIF upload support on iOS
Too buggy, constant crashes or blank screens
Zero stars. Every time I open the app it won’t display anything but a white screen.
Hardly Usable
Sent messages are sent, but never appear in a thread. Have to force quit the app to get a stream or PM to update.
Unstable
Messages are frequently lost and never delivered. Sometimes you can work around the former by killing the app and hoping it resyncs but it never does.
Beyond broken update
If you like the idea of ever looking at more than one stream at the same time, this update is an enormous middle finger to you.

This app has a great UI. Very easy to use has great accessibility to all. Very effective in its organization of messages. A versatile and powerful group chat.
Zulip
Zulip is a fantastic and more open-sourced platform compared to slack. It is also an excellent alternative to hipchat and is self-hosted while slack is proprietary SaaS
Simple, yet powerful!
Zulip is great! It lets me use separate chats for each topic we need to discuss and is a great tool for collaboration. The UI is very friendly and the app has been incredibly useful. It’s awesome!
Good open source chatting app
I found this app useful as it contains lots of essential features that many other chatting apps don’t have. I also found it is more efficient than rocket chat and slack as we can read through all or unread messages quickly without the risk of missing the important ones.
