  • So this is a spelling app?

The description is talking about Korean, but I got the Russian app. A lot of this app is very good. But then they randomly throw things at you so advanced that it becomes frustrating. Cyrillic is a big adjustment to make, but they have a swipe-type game where you have to drag your finger across characters to spell complicated words like “eleven” in Cyrillic when you’ve only barely touched on how you might do that. This should have been saved for further down the road once you’ve been made comfortable with the characters. Since I am just now memorizing the characters and how they sound, I have to swipe a bunch of times so the app can tell you that you got it wrong. No kidding. What a complete waste of time. If you’re going to force me to play a game I am unable to play yet, can I at least skip it? Furthermore, if you sign up with Apple ID on iPhone… then go to sign up on a web browser with Apple ID, it creates an entirely new account and nothing is transferred from your previous sessions OR the languages you’ve purchased. — I think this app COULD be fantastic… if they put a little more thought into how you progress through it. And fix Apple ID logins so you aren’t stuck to a single device.

  • Love the app, just one minor annoyance

I love the app and how it works. It makes learning and practicing very easy.

The one minor annoying thing is that the sound only works when your phone is not in silent mode, so you have to turn on your ringer to be able to use the app (and remember to turn it back off later). Other apps I use can play sound while my phone is in silent mode.

  • Great application

Great application, i’ve never experienced such a big progress in learning one language in a little time. More than 225 Russian words in just one month (free trial, only 10 minutes a day, 5mins in the morning - 5mins at night). I personally would recommend everyone who’s beginner and trying to learn some language from scratch to try this app. However, even though I’m very satisfied, it would be great to have summary tests or summary topics in Drops which includes every other topics that i’ve learnt before.

  • Mnemonic

Perhaps there can be an option where you can click on the word or a button on the upper right hand corner with the option to add a mnemonic. For example, я meaning I in Russian sounds like ya. Mnemonic: Do I have an eye? Ya! After you drop the word into the correct category it repeats the word but it also displays the mnemonic that you created for the word. If the word doesn’t have a mnemonic then it proceeds as normal. One has has the option of uploading images or gifs for particular words. One could also have the option to turn off or on the mnemonic function during the Drops review period

  • New to Russian and first time learning a new language

Really good for learning words that would be used every so often and I can really see myself using this more in the future.
  • Get it

I highly recommend this app i’ve learned so much in a matter of 2 days . only thing is you get 5 mins to learn but the words and after the 5 mins you have a 10 hour wait time until you can learn new words but the words you learn are put into a collection where you can still go over them.
  • It’s Ali like hard

It’s a little hard but I am a beginner so I’m a give it a four stars until I am a pro at it which should give me maybe five months I could learn languages super quick so yeah I’ll have a review and five more months hopefully I don’t have to pay and if I do in the pan I pay with purchase and play store because I have money they’re not my card but so then yeah bye but it’s really good for beginners really good I’m still a beginner but I love this app only thing I hate about it is that I get five minutes but everything else is top notch

  • Worth The Try

It’s quite impressive; I downloaded the app and wasn’t disappointed; it’s actually very great. I love the fact that the words which are taught to you are said by native speakers.

The lessons are also very interactive and make it fun to learn. Unfortunately the setting only allows 5 minute lessons per day, so that’s quite sad, however, you can change the settings if you pay extra for the premium.

  • As they say in Russian - yay (wow!)

Outstanding app for learning Russian in short sharp bursts. Really helps if you can manage a couple of 5 minute sessions a day or at least one every day or two as repetition seems to make the stuff stick much better. I’m using this along with another app called RusAlphabet and they complement each other nicely. After 4 sessions I’ve noticed I’m suddenly reading the Cyrillic letters instead of the English and getting much faster for words I know. Thanks for this app!

  • iOS 9.3? It's not working for that.

This has iOS 9.3 required, but it crashes on two max 9.3x devices I still use. I just bought the lifetime premium, and I have nothing to use it on at the moment besides a computer where it's not saying the words like in the app. Very disappointed as this needs to be fixed to support older devices again.

    Original review:
It has great pronunciation and an easy format, but there's never enough time and the prices are outrageous. The worst part is watching those seconds tick away trying to spell some of the longer words. As the app doesn't seem to have any verbal check, if I can't say the words correctly yet I can't begin to spell them correctly. I would easily spend an hour a day over two sessions instead of the little base of five minutes each session. The prices make me think I'd need to spend ten hours a day to get any value.
