Awful. Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money

This is a totally useless app. There is no useful user manual or instructions, only a short animation that provides basically no information. Keeps returning error messages. There is no user support only a Facebook and IG page that provide no help and haven’t been updated since 2020 and feature pictures of famous actors who definitely have never used the app.

A total waste of money.

Subpar

For an app you pay this much for to purchase; you’d expect all the basic malfunctions of a free app to not be a thing. Perhaps the worst this app will do is make you purchase some faux subscription….
No, this app doesn’t even scratch the surface. I feel like I just gave money to an empty void. The lacklustre technological effort put into this app is offensive. There’s a fake FAQ page where it glosses over how to import a pdf (the thing that supposedly sets this app apart) without giving an actual truthful way - possibly because you can’t; and instead you’re met with a random pdf stuck on the app.

I’m wasting time even attempting to describe this app to you. It’s a waste of time and money,
Look somewhere else

Missing functionality very basic tutorial

This app is missing a thorough tutorial and basic functionality like deleting or re recording cues already recorded. Also missing a clearly labeled pdf button to return the the script. App is also not optimized for the latest iPhone screen sizes.

This does not work the way it is explained. Do not purchase! You can’t upload PDFs or scenes through email. You can’t do anything without it glitching. This is terrible and a rip off!

AWESOME APP

Really an awesome app in both its detail and in its extremely user friendly approach. I’ve been a working professional for over 50 years and this is the most supportive and comprehensive app I’ve come across... and I say that in being pretty set in my ways after so many years in learning and being cued on lines. I was very impressed with its comprehensive design and the very specific aspects of learning one’s lines.

A great solution for line memorization!

I used to have a photographic memory and scripts were never a problem for me.

Recently, with juggling multiple projects, I can’t seem to get my lines to stick in my brain.

I’m so happy to have this app, as it’s done the trick. It took me a few times to get the knack of it, even with the training, which is very good.

Now I’m off the page and can spend the time needed to bring each character to life.

I had to reach out for technical support and the response was quick, warm and helpful.

I highly recommend this app for anyone who has to memorize something and I can’t wait for their “accent” app to come out!

Worth it, and some!

I’ve been basically doing what this app does through complicated recordings on my own. This app is everything the constantly auditioning/work actor could want from an app. Holds my scripts, gives me the option to speed up/slow down and to use only the other persons lines so I can basically play around with my lines and verbal actions and rehearse/memorize.

There is one thing I wish we could do- I wish I could label the names of scenes and even lines. If I were able to, I’d be able to label each line with my action or intention and have a more fully integrated application. Right now, I’m still needing my notebook for part of this work and it’s such an easy fix in the app.

If you’re an actor, get this app. I just crushed a callback and felt so cold on my lines the entire time- thanks to this app.

Thanks so much and glad you are loving the Actor's Lines! Re scene/line naming, you can (I might need to make this stand out more). You go to your Record screen and click to Re-order Lines. From there, you click on the pencil icon to rename the scene and on each line you want to rename. Great idea regarding intention - I am going to use that in my next audition, too.

Great for memorizing lines

I love the way you can speed up the play of the lines, or slow them down. This allows the actor to say the lines with a different rhythm every time. Highly recommend this app.
