  • Could have been great, but constant video ads ruin it

If you like being Interupted constantly to hear Budge’s (the company that makes this game) video appeals for money and “buy this game now!” then you’ll love this game.
If you’re hoping to build a track for Thomas and friends with your kid and have them learn from a puzzle, then good luck with that.
The interruptions are constant and annoying and it’s really disappointing that the Thomas property would be licensed to such a blatant and constant money grab of an app.
Could have been good. Just too annoying.

  • My boys love this

I don’t normally purchase iPad games to be honest, there are so many free ones which are great. But I decided to buy all the in-app purchases on this game as my boys get so much out of it. I initially got the app so they could play it on our long journey to Florida (the youngest - 3 - is obsessed with Thomas although the oldest - 5 - wasn’t really that bothered). Anyway it’s now all they play. They play it for 10 minutes before school in the morning and for 20 minutes after school - they get so much out of it as they have to design their own tracks so it kind of feels educational to some extent. Then they love watching the trains drive along the tracks they’ve designed. The more they play the more new trains/tracks etc they get. They are both now totally obsessed with Thomas and it’s all they talk about. This has been the case for the last month, ever since we got the game. It’s actually fun to design your own track when the children are at school!

    Developer Response

Thanks for your awesome feedback! We are happy to hear your family enjoys this app !
  • Unlocking trains

My 3 year old son loves this game and I think it’s great as well. The only problem I have is I have bought Gordon and Millie packs but we have not been able to unlock all the trains for the packs. Both me and my son play and no golden gears show up. I feel like I’ve wasted money.

The problem was fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling.

  • Fun! But why the in app purchases?

I was so excited to unlock Gordon, Spencer, and the others, but then I found out about how it costs $5.00 to get one set of Percy, James, etc I understand you guys need to make money but COME ON! $5.00 for a box of 4 trains and other track pieces! What I’m saying is please make people pay for the APP instead of other trains and their accessories also please respond to this as soon as possible thank you for taking the time to read this message.

  • Overpriced in-app purchases, lots of ads

Kinda fun game for my 2-year old. It was late one night I he pressed on some kind of DLC pack and I had no idea what he did. There was a pop-up that had a simple math question or something. I put the numbers in and the next thing I know, I had purchased a $5 DLC pack. Okaaay. Kinda sneaky I thought but it was probably my fault for not paying attention. I wouldn't mind so much if my purchase had stopped the constant barrage of video ads. It's like every few minutes I get a pop-up ad that can't be skipped.

  • VERY fun for my son...and VERY expensive

I'm in for spending cash on free apps. I understand development takes time and money, and content should really never be free....however, $10-$15 MAX should be the top unlock for this particular game. Also, when one pack is purchased, it should deduct the price from the "everything unlocked" option like apple does with the "complete my album" option for music purchases. That's my 2 cents, peace.

  • Great idea however

The recent update provides the most annoying constant interruption of adverts. Yes you have to get revenue in but not to the point of where you literally only do a couple of things and the advertising kicks in. Yes I know you can purchase sets to remove the adverts but if you don’t want to it doesn’t leave you anywhere to go plus the prices are a little steep for the main sets.

  • Excellent

This game is so awesome, I love it so much! I could play this game forever. What I’m really hoping is that you make an update to this app. Henry, Belle, Rosie, Emily, Diesel 10 and Edward could join the game with Henry and his invisible machine, Belle and her sea gate, Rosie and her Camo launcher, Emily’s sweet shop, Diesel 10’s Evil lair and Edward’s steelworks. Henry’s variants: classic, neon, advent, Electrified and monster. Belle’s variants: classic, Launcher, Raven, Fantasy and Camo. Rosie’s variants: Classic, Starfire, Launcher, Fantasy and Camo. Emily’s variants: Classic, Spooky, Wonder Woman, Sweets and Night time. Diesel 10’s variants: Classic, Spooky, Steel, Construction and Fantasy. Edward’s variants: Classic, metallic, Chillin’, Spooky and Steel.

  • Fantastic Development Game!

Our 2 1/2-year-old loves this game and can do almost everything in it herself. We let her play About 30 minutes a day, and she really looks forward to it. We wish we didn’t have to do the virtual reality treasure hunt. It’s cool, but gets old quickly, and a 2 1/2 year old can’t do it herself. Otherwise, this is a great complementary game to real trains, especially if your child is into trains!

  • Great game with lots of potential

My 2.5 year old absolutely loves this game. We sit down and build tracks almost every night, and he loves saying the names of all the trains. However, I wish there were larger tables to build on, and we both wish you could place more than 3 trains on a table at a time. There are so many adorable trains and unfortunately you are only limited to 3 on a table at a time. The total cost of $20 is also kind of pricey, but was worth it for how much fun we have.
