Great game, but in-app purchases beware!
My boys love this incredibly well developed game, but the In-App Purchases are a pain! We bought one of the $6 extensions, and now want to 'Unlock Everything', but there's no way to receive a discount for the pack we've already purchased. Seems like a no-brainer! My 5 year old loves this. I’m not sure if there is any educational value but it doesn’t matter. He’s engrossed and engaged.
The one thing to be careful of... and when I thought this was the app dev’s fault, I was annoyed, turns out it’s Apple’s family sharing that’s the problem... is that you can’t family share in-app purchases.
The company had put a clear faq explaining how to work around the Apple limitations.

Update. After using this for a while I’ve noticed that my 4yo son is taking the skills he’s learned in the app offline. Specifically demonstrating better spacial awareness and a sense of a whole layout and how to plan for his whole idea up front.Show lessdavidbressler
Fun. Worth $10 for DLC
I’m a teenager and I still play this because it’s just FUN, and as a kid I would love watching episodes of Thomas. I don’t know if nostalgia is the word, but there’s some almost sentimental value to this game and just something about playing with toys and building stuff with them that’s calming. All without spending, what, like ~$100 on all the Mini toys?
(Edit:) $20 bucks?? Not what it said a second ago...
And no more tables to build on??? Hmmm.... Add, like, 20 tables or something big like that and I will put a higher star rating. It’s misleading, having the boxes on the table and also the prices displaying incorrectly. (Though the prices having difficulty displaying is easily forgivable)Show lessJumpGecko
My kids love it but have lost in app purchases
My kids have been playing this for over a month and love it. I got them them the in app purchases which add additional blueprints but after the recent update these have disappeared. Trying to reset the game and restore my purchases does not add the additional blueprints, and the get all the toys! option is still available to select but does not do anything. Thanks for writing! When you restore purchases, it restores the in-app purchase, but not the progress you made, so if you keep playing (without paying) you will unlock the toys and blueprints you had before. I hope that helps! We will look to add iCloud saving in a future release, thanks for the feedback!Pop ups
This is a good app, we have purchased an add on and it said there would no longer be pop up adds after the purchase. But we are still being bom barded with pop up adds. Also if there was a way to lock a map when created to stop further editing that would be awesome. My son accidentally clicks on the track moving it when adding the trains and it erases the track.Show lessLucieface

Hi, thanks for writing us! You can turn off the cross-promotional pop ups in the app settings. Also, a track can only be deleted by pressing and holding for 5 seconds on teh bomb icon in the corner. My son loves Thomas the train. I downloaded this and started playing with him and he loved collecting the golden gears. I was so excited for him to be able to get Percy and James but we eventually realized that additional content has to be purchased after a certain point. I understand you guys need to make money but I wish at least some of the items in the other boxes was collectible with golden gears. Super disappointed to watch those golden gears disappear after collecting the free content.Show lessFix please..
Great game- here's how to rotate pieces!
My 3 year old loves playing this. There are so many different track pieces to design with, very fun!
As for rotating pieces, I accidentally finally figured it out. If you have a west-east tunnel and you'd like it to be north-south, drag it above a normal west-east track and the tunnel will flip! I can't get the special elaborate roller coaster pieces to flip but this works for bridges, the cleaner, paint, tunnel and many other small special tracks.Show lessKitten22885
Awesome but..
I love this game so much but when you have unlocked everything on the Thomas set you keep collecting golden gears even though it resets it gets really annoying because when you have multiple trains on the tracks you keep get golden gears and when it's full it just takes you to buy more sets! There should be a setting when you unlock everything in a set that you won't get any more golden gearsShow lessKenna4.11
Great little game — but how do you rotate pieces??
This is a fun game and I’ve enjoyed making tracks as much as my son has. The layout is simple. The graphics are fun and the trains do fun little things when interacting with one another. I love all the little obstacles and what they do to the trains.
But for the life of me I can’t figure out how to rotate a piece! Can the developer help? Surely you must be able to rotate a tunnel so it can go horizontally too? (EDIT: The developer has responded that there are two versions of each tunnel-like piece. I still only see one direction of each piece. For instance, the only tunnel piece is north-south.)Show lessWilliamFree

Hello! Yes you can have pieces go either direction by dragging the correct one out of the tray, there are 2 versions of each tunnel, etc/ Hope that helps!Fun!
