Memorize lines fast User Reviews

Very Good; just a bit limited!

I’m practicing for a LAMDA exam and it’s in 2 DAYS! This app has been very helpful and after like a couple of minutes, I remembered a chunk of my lines SO WELL!!! All I would say is that maybe there could be a few more tactics in order to memorise your chosen lines without having to look at the device you’re using- it gets kind of annoying. Maybe a tactic could be listening to the person and rating on chosen factors? Just a suggestion but overall, AMAZING app!

Does not support non latin alphabet languages

Hiding words in Japanese gets rid of the entire paragraph at once as this algorithm only relies on spaces between words to distinguish.

Response from developer

Hi Tristan, please contact us, this is interesting feedback, happy to work on this! The app should actually work with Japanese characters (it will hide characters instead of words or paragraphs), so please send us your text and we'll look into it and see if we need to implement a fix. But we can't answer you via app review, it's anonymous. Thanks Kevin

I’m trying this app. Will do more stars …

The best app for memorizing text is MemoCoach!

2024 MemoCoach app is still great and getting better! This app is good for the whole family who join with me to memorize--I still use it with grandchildren (four). We write together, and then use the app to memorize our rhymes and songs. 2022 one yr after my review: still the best. 2021 This app is well designed, easy to use, and so helpful. I care for my two grandsons (ages 5 and 7 years) and Zoom each week with my two granddaughters (same ages). Every once in a while, I try to learn parts of their favorite songs. However, I mostly use the app to memorize poems and selections from books. The older grandson was interested yesterday in memorizing a poem, "Herbert Glerbett" by Jack Prelutsky, and I thought I would show him your app. The app is a great way to memorize. If I were a student, I would find it invaluable. If you try it out, you will see how you adjust it so that you only have to remember a few words, and then gradually you learn more and more of the text/script/lyrics until you have memorized it all. The name of the app also reminds me of meme. Customer support is great.

Thank you so much and I hope the entire family will learn many texts with the app! Happy 2021 💪 Kevin

Great app! Looking forward to updates

Updated (6/5/24):
Kevin got back to me IMMEDIATELY and will be working on so many cool things for the app. I am very pleased with his response and the future of the app. 5 stars!

Original:
I have an iPad and an iPhone. It would be nice to sync documents immediately instead of having to manually send a document over to my device and then importing it. Another feature would be to add different fonts. At the moment, the font used causes an issue with knowing if I’m looking at a lower case “L” or upper case “I”. If it would be possible to add the option to change fonts or if the app’s font changed so that users can differentiate the two letters, that would be stellar! These would be features that would bring my rating up to a 5 star. Otherwise, the app is pretty good and helps me memorize efficiently. Great job on the app!

Life changing!

I have to learn a lot of lines of 18th century English…and this app has ABSOLUTELY transformed this for me. I’ve gone from dreading picking up the book to looking forward to learning it. Having uploaded it into this App, & after adjusted it as necessary to break it down into bit-sized chunks, I learn it for around 30-40 mins a day. It’s always with me on my phone. And by working methodically through the various learning tools (first letter only, hide whole word, first 3 words, hide whole line) I’m off-book in no time. I cannot recommend this app highly enough for ANYONE that needs to learn any type of text.

So far so good!

I’m not a spring chicken anymore and memorizing lines has become difficult. It’s also hard to find someone to read lines with and as someone who suffers from dyslexia, the entire process can not only be frustrating but scary. I have used this app for a few days and it’s been a nice addition for me. I notice some things that might be helpful for those of us with learning disabilities but haven’t unlocked the full version yet.

Thank you very much, really glad to read that. You can tap “Contact” in the app to talk directly with us, if you have any feedback or feature suggestions. We are working in big improvements in the way the app teaches texts, we hope you’ll love those! Thanks Kevin

Just ok

So I am paying for the premium version of this, but there’s definitely some issues. I was able to import a PDF of my script, but it does not highlight my lines all the time, so the hide and reveal features don't work on my lines when that happens. I also wish it had some kind of memory or away for me to bookmark where I was. I constantly find myself having to go back into my text and edit different things, then I have to scroll through the whole entire to figure out where I was. It would be great if this app could break up things into pages or scenes. I wish it could read the lines, hopefully we can see in the future.

Gosh, it’s both disappointing to read that the app does not 100% currently fit your needs, but also incredibly exciting because I have the roadmap in front of my eyes, and we have solutions to almost all of the 4 suggestions you made. And with some surprises on how we improve on the current system. It’s much better to talk to us by email so that we can ask for more information and let you beta-test, we can’t contact you via reviews, but rest assured that we are working on all this. We love the app and are frustrated too that it’s not where it should be. To give you an idea, this weekend we are testing the first version of the new import system for PDFs, for instance. Hoping to ship that v1 in 2 weeks. Keep an eye on the release notes, some good things coming I’ve the next few months 😎 If we ever improve the app sufficiently to deserve 4 or 5 stars, please do feel free to edit your rating, Apple allows that! 🤗 Thanks a lot for the feedback and feel free to join us on Reddit too: reddit.com/r/MemoCoach — Kevin, for the team

Install now! Amazing!

Great app for memorizing anything. I highly recommend getting this app. So I have a few suggestions that don’t really make the main part of the app better(memorizing things). So it would be cool if there was like a web search bar within the app too get a cool background photo for the thing your memorizing which would make it a whole lot more interesting. And maybe different fonts for words (at least like bold underlined and italicized words). This app is great! Thank you so much for making this app. I look forward to future updates. I hope you read this and look into my suggestions.
