Great when it works
This app really struggles to function in iPhone. Currently, I’m perpetually prompted to update the app, even though the App Store states that I have the latest update.
When it is “updated”, I am logged out every single time I open the app. More often than not, it crashes, which is only annoying because when I open the app, I need to log back into Catan Universe.
It’s a shame because the game is great but the app is barely functional- and having paid for it is more frustrating.Show lessajoeyfrew
Great game, just too many glitches!!
Now bare in mine I have paid for the game here and been playing it for some time now. Good news is that it’s my go to game when I’m bored or want to pass the time. But there’s just a few too many glitches for my liking which really takes the enjoyment out of it.
• logs you out everytime you start the app up.
• trying to play but it’s saying I need to update the app even though I have all up to date software and app - still says it, so now I’m unable to play at all.
• No customer care line to try and rectify the above
• when you leave a game mid way through and come back to it, the settings that show on the load up screen are not the game setting I chose in the original game set up
• sometimes the computer generated players are able to trade before rolling the dice, but not for the human player
• any cards that are received by other players from the banker should come from a different direction, as it looks like they are taking cards from the human player (small bit noteworthy)
• sometimes when a computer player offers a trade, the card they offer sometimes changes at the last minute - obvious glitch
Would appreciate it if someone can help me get past the log in screen so I can play the game that I’ve paid for and been enjoying (apart from the above) for the past few months.Show lessbehdjdbx
Useless
Can’t do anything right. Every update they create 10 new problems when the update was only to fix 2-4 problems. So they go one step forward 7 steps back, they could fall in a barrel of tits and still come out with a dick in their hands..Roachklip666
Before you download…
Games servers are absolutely shocking after me and my wife put the kids to bed we like to play one game of Catan Yet for months we can’t even play the one dead game against each other and the dumb ai. We spend more time reconnecting to the servers then playing the game it’s self and talking about gameplay it’s boring the dice rolls are not random. So The ai will always roll there numbers and as soon as you have more then 7 cards you know a 7 will be rolled if your snowballing the game with a good lead in victory points the algorithms will make you miss loads of cards and get you just waiting for the others to catch up it is severely broken and predictable. we only play one game a night because it makes us fall asleep it’s that boring there is no strategy needed to win in this game. So if like us we already deleted the game now so recommend you find something else on the App Store there’s millions of apps that are better don’t waste your time.Show lessjoshyyy0121
Buggy App
I don’t usually write reviews nor rate apps but this one calls for one. This app is so buggy at times it’s very annoying especially if you’re in the middle of matches. Here’s the things I’ve noticed with this app: 1. If you happen to quit a game in the middle of multiplayer match good luck finding another game. You will get disconnected multiple times on follow on games immediately after. I usually just stop playing for hours and come. 2. Peer gets stuck if they get disconnected. The kicktimer doesn’t properly kick stuck opponents in multiplayer. This will force you to quit the game this reducing your Elo. This is connected to item #1 as well. 3. Board sometimes disappears. You’ll need to restart the game multiple times for it to come back. Update Jun 19, 2023: App is still buggy. Random disconnects are a thing even if you have good internet connection. I got kicked out of a game for “Taking too long to take my turn” except my internet was great during this time and it never gave me any indication I was lagging. My opponents were very responsive at each turn. Elo also doesn’t properly load after games.
As of Sep 12, 2023 the game is still extremely buggy. I get randomly get kicked out of games. I lost Karma for no reason whatsoever. Elo still don’t work properly.Show lesstufnutz1
Unable To Invite Friends
Latest update (2.3.4) can no longer invite any friends to play, it says they are currently in a game (they aren’t). Running on iPhone 12, iOS 15.6.1Adrian-Crowder
Used to be good
This game used to be amazing but in the last year they’ve done updates that make the game unplayable. Worst money ever spent since I can’t even play a custom match against a friend due to nothing loading properlyDdddddshizly
Technical Issues in multiplayer mode
Love the game! Especially the physical board, since we want to play at the comfort of our own home, we got this game. However, the game seems to have server issue 1) Input Syntax troubleshoot: while trying to invite friends 2) The game keeps on lagging and failed to reconnect at time. I assume its the server issue. Update is not good
Does not let us play in a friends match. Continues to tell us that one of us is ‘in a match’ when we are on the main screen. The app before the update was smoother.bonsey7
