App is completely rewritten with greatly improved visual effects. Units for distances (English, metric, nautical) and coordinates (Degrees, Degrees & Minutes or Degrees, Minutes and Seconds) are changeable with a tap. Management of new locations, saving to memory or as trip entries are smoother. Two independent trip structures are available. An excursion/workout function has been added. More large displays easy to read while underway have been added.

Aide from a few bug fixes, the main change in this version is the inclusion of a Watch App. Many the simpler functions of the app cane accomplished on the Watch with results kept in sync between the devices.

Description of GPS Companion
This app provides many sorts of information calculated from the basic GPS data generated by the iPhone and/or the Apple Watch. Set a Start and End point for a trip and see the distance and direction between them. Then track your progress on the trip including distance, speed, course, bearing and heading. Choose between great circle and route distances when appropriate. Save favorite locations in memory for easy use in future trips. Import locations from your contacts. Easily save your current location and export location and trip information. Much of the information can be read on the Apple watch with the results kept in sync between the devices.
