  • There’s genuinely no way to describe what I just played

You need to try this game. Just 15 minutes of focused play and you’ll get the idea.
  • A Beautiful Game for Onion Lovers Everywhere

    Onion Gaming at its finest
  • Brilliant

Amazingly enjoyable game. Only fault is that I cannot play my own music or other audio at the same time.
  • Still the best game ever made for the iPhone

The only game I play. No other game will ever come close to this. This is art.
  • Pure crazy

    Japanese craziness and crazy tapping!
  • I… four bucks?!

Leaving aside the wild absurdist humour, the unique setting and the sheer aesthetic charm, the actual gameplay experience is far, far deeper, more interesting and lends itself to a wider variety of viable strategies than it has any right to. It’s challenging, even in its early areas (while you’re finding your feet) but beautifully well-balanced to always encourage you to try again and improve. The amount of genuine capital GD Game Design talent on display in this thing is kind of crazy.

…and, yes, I genuinely mean all of that about a game that, at face value, looks like demented onion whack-a-mole.

Just bravo to the dev team. The mobile market doesn’t generally lend itself to getting your big break with innovation but I really hope they make it big. You give these guys a budget and I can’t even imagine what they could make - I just know I’d want to play it (with a slightly bemused look on my face).

  • Life-affirming fun

Million Onion Hotel overflows with personality. It possesses in one pixel more heart and soul and simple, childlike joy than any game I’ve ever played on a phone. If you, like me, love to live and breathe, Million Onion Hotel is an essential purchase. And if you don’t, Million Onion Hotel will teach you how—a priceless gift, for only $3.99.

  • One of the most surprising

I can’t give away too much, but the story and wonderful music is what kept me coming back.
  • Mutes my music.

How dare this game. It stops any music I’m playing and will not allow music to be played while playing. Absolutely ridiculous.
  • Bizarre and incredibly fun

There’s nothing like it in the App Store which is a real treat. Still getting the hang of it. Tapping with all kinds of subtle changes as you collect onions while trying to keep time from running out. Crazy story just adds to the charm. I’m pleasantly surprised. Can’t put it down.
