Unable to select Canada when signing up

Even if on HomeWhiz website it’s said that HomeWhiz is available in Canada, it’s not possible to select that country when signing up.

Device Not Found Error

Washing Machine won’t connect to the app not matter what I do. I have even got a friend who works in IT to help - and it still won’t connect.

Useless👎👎👎

Application doesn’t work anytime I add the device says invalid product number. I have tried many times it doesn’t work.

Works, with patience.

As the man of the house I am not trusted with white goods. Add an app, and I’m prepared to break those rules! We’ve had our washing machine for 2 years but just got around to using the app (I had paired when new, otherwise no idea where manual with serial number is). So, paired, connected (app instructions pretty clear). Washed my trainers, all pretty easy! One flaw is Bluetooth has short range, so couldn’t monitor the wash without going nearer machine, but that’s understandable. Not sure app offers any advantage?

Works well one critical flaw

Use this for Beko washer. Set up is pretty easy and consistently connects with Bluetooth. Simple to save favorites. But one major flaw: it doesn't give you a notification when the wash is done. Seems like basic functionality unless I'm missing something 🤷‍♂️ Also a little clunky across devices as you can't seem to share simultaneous connection but no biggie

Shocking, don’t waste your time downloading

First of all, the amount of access this app needs is unwarranted. It is being used just to harvest data. I’m very surprised that a reputable company like Beko would partner with such an app. Even when you open up your phone to all the access that it requires, and you eventually manage to add your washing machine it won’t let you do anything. Having seen reviews on the internet this is not the only problem. I’m a techie and have a home full of smart devices, and this is absolutely the worst I’ve seen. If I’d written this software I would be embarrassed. But as I said at the purpose of the app is to harvest data rather than provide control of your device. Do yourself a favour and don’t download. I’ve deleted it already.

Dear Customer, the only purpose of the permission you give is to connect your appliances with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Besides, you can choose “Share only once” or “Share only while using” for location permission. Because it is needed only for connection purposes.Best regards.

USELESS ! TERRIBLE !!

Never pairs! Tried three different iPhones and iOS and nothing happens, impossible !!

English instructions are not very clear!

What does it mean:
“Give permission to access location for bluetooth installation”??

I wish could understand this.
Because I cannot connect anything!

DO NOT ASK FOR MY EMAIL ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBER to be sent via email - how appalling !
Instead, get an encrypted message channel.

Doesn’t give functionality expected

Thankfully I didn’t have problems connecting the app to my Beko washing machine like many others did, but the app lacks the one thing which would be the most usefully function for users… push notifications.

The FAQ on the website says the app will notify you when your appliance has finished a cycle… it doesn’t. After searching through the internet ‘how to’s’ and the app settings unsuccessfully, I’m still having to set an alarm on my phone to remind me to take my washing out… pointless.

I guess the remote control function is useful, but seeing I have to physically put my washing into my machine I might as well press the buttons while I am there. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Beko washing machine

I recently got a beko washing and the apps seems to work very well with it was hard work at first to try set it up but managed to figure it out and running a cycle from it now, only thing i query about is the heavy access it needs, i.e, access to your local network access to your location, access to your wifi an Bluetooth, bluetooth id understanding but everything else seems a bit extreme especially when you don't know what they are able to receive and do with all these permissions and can only hope they dont use them to breach ur privacy or to sell or use ur data via use of these permissions, and that security is good, maybe the app developers can respond, an shed some light on it all for me. but other then my ticking mind, the app seems to do what it says it can do and seems to be working fine for me

I’ve never reviewed an app before, but here I am sitting on the floor of my laundry trying to make this damn thing do what it promises. I don’t like complaining but this is hopeless.
