  • Relaxing simple beautiful game

Just a simple concept nicely executed, well done for an unusual and strangely addictive little non-game.
  • The beauty of impermanence

Difficult to sat what is so appealing about this. I find it very soothing though. Even paid for the extra castle designs even though i knew I couldn’t look at them for more than a few seconds, fascinating!
  • About 30 Second from install to delete

Really, I 'get' that its meant to be relaxing. But some attempt could have been made to have the water react to the castle, maybe swirling around, maybe a big strong long line of castles partially surviving to be built on. But there is nothing, its 20 seconds long, and the water may as well be a CLEARSCREEN command. Why would ANYONE pay to unlock different castles?? Just not entertaining at all.

  • A bit of fun

I like this little app, the castles are cool. But please, developers, can you make it so the sea doesn’t come in so quickly to wash the castles away? I would like more time to enjoy building and looking at the castles before they get washed away. That’s why only 3 stars. More castle time, less sea.
  • Boring

What do you do? This game is garbage
  • Relaxing to a point

You can see what the developers are trying to achieve but when the water comes in and then recedes it’s actually quite a harsh action. There’s nothing relaxing in the motion of the waves. Would be more effective if they were slower, more random, gently rolling in and out in a soothing motion. Would be far more relaxing and realistic than bam! Blue screen....bam! Orange screen. Just sayin’.

  • People say it’s bad it’s not

I have seen some people say how boring it is, but it is more of a mindfulness app then a game, people with stress or anxiety issues, like my self, would appreciate the relaxing sounds and nice sandcastles, it’s not a GAME you would enjoy, it’s a mindfulness app you would appreciate.
  • For a certain kind of person.

In a world of flashing images, loot boxes, terrifying news, bills and stress; don’t we all need a calm space?

As you can tell, after Apple put this as their app of the day it was inevitable that people would see this as something much bigger than it actually is. The app is quick to download and loads in a second. It’s a brief escape to some lovely seaside ambience and the ability to build sandcastles.

If you’re the kind of person who would be frustrated at the sea washing away your sandcastles, avoid this app. There are many games, apps or whatever that save your progress, reward you for completion and give you a lasting feeling of success.

For me, it’s refreshing to have a little “game” that does none of that, and leaves you with your thoughts.

  • Mindfullness

The app is truly beautiful. The reason behind this all is lovely and I really enjoy it. It isn’t meant to be fun and/or entertaining, but to be mindful. Imagine the Sandcastles as all of your bad feelings, all building up and up and then to wash away in the calming sea.... yet all of the reviews are judging it to be a game. It gets to me a bit. It’s not a game! Understand this people!

    this is really cheesy lol

    But yup. Good MINDFULNESS app.

  • what?

I see lots of review for this app saying ‘not interesting’ and ‘boring’. That’s PART of it. It’s about mindfulness. It’s calming and simple. People don’t know a good app when they see one.
