2.1.1

March 19, 2019

Step in, there’s lots that’s new in this release! You’ll find a TV set in the bedroom. It streams four carefully curated channels: ‘Stretch and Move’ is a range of gentle chair-based exercises, created by our active-aging partners, Spiro100. Then, for nostalgic fun, we have ‘Lifestyle Lounge’, ‘Movie & TV moments’ and Music, put together by our cultural historian, Jean Luc, from ever.li. Other improvements: Julie is more responsive, as is Dixie, the cat, who now can be stroked (not just tapped). To make statistics more reliable, we automatically end the session after 30 minutes of inactivity. On the dashboard side, you can now add a player’s date of birth, which brings a generational filter to streamed content. Our focus is to help caregivers enter the world of the person they are supporting - because that’s where understanding, empathy and communication lies. We hope you agree this latest release is a step in that direction. Head to our website for customer support and sales enquires.

  • Looks good, but no way to get started

After download it asks for your email and password, but no way to create account. Emailed their website, and they said it has to be set up through a care provider. Well that info is nowhere on the App Store. Thx for the dead end
  • Player Not found.

I downloaded from apple store onto iPad, joined and signed in, and then this window appears. Refresh button does NOT correct the “player not found” malfunction. But further, there is no ‘close’ window or ‘help/support’ button. You are just stuck on this inoperable page. Too bad.
  • Deva World: Making life better for people impacted by dementia.

WOW! I LOVE this app! My clients LOVE this app. Caregivers LOVE this app. Watching someone with dementia come to life with excitement and joy is beautiful. Deva World seems to awaken parts of the brain that were once lost. The stories I hear as we view photos of their lifetime, look at books, watch old movie clips are “simply” amazing. Exercising is no longer boring thanks to the variety of creative Spiro100 exercise classes. I am getting to know who my clients were pre-dementia resulting in relevant, personal conversations outside of Deva World.
