Terrible at best
Doesn’t work. What a waste.
Does not work
No matter what method I use to set it up initially, there is no internet connectivity after setup. The app is only for initial setup and does not have any troubleshooting capabilities. Returning.
Functional at last!
Used every bit of my IT knowledge to discover the device’s WAN IP (192.168.1.92) so I could log into the device. Website (maginon.extender) in the manual does not work, nor does the IP address provided in the downloaded manual (192.168.10.1). I’ll be testing how well it actually works later.
Couldn’t have been easier
Only attempted to setup through the app. Didn’t touch the PC or router. Took all of 3 mins.
I do not recommend it
Despite the fact that I’m very computer savvy, I was not able to make it work. It forces the extender to become a DHCP server, which creates a subnet in my LAN, and apparently my ISP does not allow this doble NAT; hence, there was no internet connection. When I tried to set up a static IP, the software freezes. In conclusion: It shouldn’t be that hard to configure, and it should let you make some changes. Unfortunately, I will return it.

Garbage
Does not work
Scam.
WiFi doesn't work. Don’t waste your time and money on this. When set up, you don’t even get a connection from it, even if you reset 10 times. This item is just a scam.
Please use this first
I highly recommend you use this app to install the Wi-Fi extender. I spent too long trying to get the website to work when actually does downloading the app 10 star only took a minute or two
Nothing works - returning because this is crap.
I have (soon to be had) the WLR760AC. Tried following instructions to set up wirelessly. At step 4 you are told to enter a non-existent website http://maginon.extender ... Since there is no such website, it's impossible to proceed with setup. Tried using the app downloaded directly from the Apple AppStore. In that app, I selected the WLR760AC and NEXT. The extender is plugged in with lights showing, so I don't need to do anything to turn the device on. I hit NEXT. 9 or more times out of 10, I get an error message that there's no extender. The rare times it finds the device (which I'm sitting no more than 15 feet from), it asks for a password. The password is supposedly admin. It doesn't work. I tried the password for my wifi network. It doesn't work either. I've slowly typed each password at least 10 times, so I know I typed them correctly at least once! I discovered I can log on using admin if I manually choose to be connected to the wifi extender in my wifi setup, but then I'm not on my own VERY SECURE wifi network anymore ... Instead I'm on a different network that's totally open to anyone who sees it, and it gives a warning message that all your internet traffic is now visible to others. I called the # for service or technical support 800-270-5071 and spoke with Selena. She talked V*E*R*Y slowly as if she was really annoyed and extremely bored - it literally almost made me fall asleep listening to her! She also was no help - repeatedly had to look up what to do next in her script, but always said the same thing: "Press reset button with a pen for 10 seconds. If the app still doesn't find the device, press the WPS button for 10 seconds." A pen is way too big to reach the reset button, and nothing I own is small enough to do so. Repeatedly held down WPS button; no change - it's as if device doesn't exist. Even unplugged the device (MY idea); no change. App didn't find it even once while on phone with them! I noticed her wording was always "installation attempt" - not "installation"!!! So the manufacturer isn't confident this device works!!! Then I looked up the reviews for this device, which average 3.2 out of 5 and realized this device is junk. Will be returning today. Also, when I told tech support about the non-existence of http://maginon.extender, Selena's response was, "We're aware of that." If they're aware, then why haven't they fixed it??? That's evidence of a very unprofessional company who doesn't care at all about the frustration they put their customers through.
